@CatchAFallingStar: Good morning! I never [completely] discount anything with TTC and cycles. I don't spot before my AF but I know a number of ladies on here who do, so if that is your "norm," it may very well be your AF. It could be early this month due to stress (emotional or bodily) or abnormal hormonal fluctuations/shifts ... who knows π€·ββοΈ? It could also be IB/IS as one pregnancy is never the same as subsequent ones. Examples: My bestie had an IB with her second but not her first. Her OBGYN said it may have been due to implantation into scar tissue (from her last csection) or a super thick endometrial lining. Second example: I had M/S my entire pregnancy with DD, I had severe edema the entire time, and pre-eclampsia (which was monitored until delivery) began around 27 weeks. With DS, I had extreme fatigue (no real nausea) and I was in the gym [hardcore] until 7 mos pregnant, best part - pre-eclampsia didn't hit until 35 weeks. I gained 70-lbs with DD and close to 50 with DS ... most of it was mostly water weight with both. My (long-winded π€£) point: You won't know what the spotting is until either it becomes an AF OR (the option I am optimistic for) you end up with a lovely BFP. I'm holding out hope.

So today is est 10 DPO based on OPKs and looking like a stark BFN (though that little dot that wont come off the strip is messing with my eyes).
It's been a crazy week - I gave notice at my current job and accepted a new one, and my old company had a 6 MONTH PAID mat leave (I am in US but it is an Irish company). My new company has only basic FMLA and after you've been there a year, so I am wondering if this cycle isn;t it perhaps we should take a break for a bit and let the dust settl.e Last month really messed with my head in terms of being very tied to the cycle and I let it get to me, so this month has been more relaxed. I will of course be disappointed if this isn't it, but also feeling much more at peace if that is the case especially considering all the job stuff going on!

@maybebaby: Congratulations on accepting the position! I do understand your concerns and it is A LOT to consider. I do see what you are saying about the small dot of color π€ -- very odd.
nectarine / 2177 posts
@Kaohinani: Thank you! It's bittersweet and what I wouldnt give for a 6 mo paid leave, but I can't base my life around the possibility of getting pregnant and if we were to soon, it would still mean like 2 years at my current company - between growing baby, leave, and then having to back for 6 mo (in order to not pay back benefits). So I think it is the right one but still a lot to swallow! I think the dot looks more like a little nick in person so don's think it's anything exciting, but because I am a POAS addict I am sure I will test again tomorrow against my better judgment haha. Have you taken an OPK today? Been lurking this month (as part of my way of not getting TOOO caught up, but ya know!) I am another one who goes from a REALLY negative OPK to a blazing positive within hours, so hopeful for you on the timing front!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@maybebaby: No, ma'am, I have yet to take one this morning. I believe I may wait until 11 am for my 1st one and then, if it looks any better than my anemic OPK from yesterday, I will take another before I head out to my class (and, maybe, again before bed). Even with all of the negative OPKs, DH and I have been DTD every other night "just in case..." besides, DH will be gone the better part of July so we might as well get in some personal time (π€£) before he is gone.

@Kaohinani: remind me where you live - i can't keep time zones straight haha

@maybebaby: I swear I have lived nearly EVERYWHERE (as a military spouse since 20). But, at current, we are in the southeast U.S. (EST) so it is 9:00 (0900) atm.

@CatchAFallingStar: I'm so sorry. I'm going to stay optimistic for you with Kaohinani.
@maybebaby: Congrats on the new position! Balancing family planning and career is so tricky, especially it seems for US bees. Sounds like it was the right decision for you and I wish you the best of luck moving forward.

@chereshae: Keep us update (as does Sam's Mom) when you move on to the "Mama's Board!" We will miss your presence on the POAS board!

@maybebaby: Just for you:
I took my OPK early (same amount of coffee as the last 3 days and no other change in variables with exception for it is an hour earlier than usual) ... it is a bit darker than yesterday's nearly stark white OPK.
Top photo = yesterday at CD13 / Bottom = today at CD14
S-l-o-w-l-y getting there! Hoping to OV soon.

@Kaohinani: Thank you! I sure will. And that OPK is definitely darker!

8dpo here - exactly the time I start losing my mind. Still BFN. I want to see something so bad so all the line eyes π I cannot learn to just wait.
@maybebaby: I donβt see anything yet either, but itβs nice to be in a place where you are peaceful either way! Is the new job better? What an exciting time.
@Kaohinani: definitely darker!! Crossing all my fingers for you! I get most of my positives in the evening. So hopefully tonight

Soooo, I JUST took ANOTHER OPK.
Looks the same as the one from this morning! π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
I am becoming super "crampy," like Mittelschmerz on steroids (or my old AF cramps). π€ I hope this is normal 1st post-surgical OV cramping. π€·ββοΈ I suppose I can't complain TOO much as "some progress is still progress!"
@MaybeBaby: @Chereshae: Thanks, ladies!
@FuzzyPeaches: I will go crazy π€ͺ with you! You can stress over your HPTs while I freak out over my sad OPKs. Crazy [misery?] loves company. π€£
UPDATE: π€tried a different brand OPK and it is significantly darker. π€― I'm so d@mn confused!!! I'm becoming a certifiable OPK POAS addict! π€ͺππ€£

Spotting turned to pink today, so tomorrow will most likely be cycle day one. Hoping for Thursday so Iβll have a 10 day LP instead of only 9. Ordered my meds for next cycleβs IUI. Iβm just feeling stressed about so many things and not even sure Iβm feeling ready for next cycle. Might skip a month.

@CatchAFallingStar: Sending so many hugs! I can empathize and sympathize with you. TTC is so stressful and it is even harder when your body doesn't want to cooperate. If you decide to take a month off, we understand and will be thinking of you ... if you decide to keep trying, we will be here for you. In any case, we all support you.

Took 2 more ...
Which one is correct?!?!? π€π€¦ββοΈ
I'm losing it here π€ͺ.
I suppose it doesn't matter because neither is "positive;" however, one is much closer to becoming pos. Ugh!

@Kaohinani: ugh why does it always have to be such a mind game?!?! I usually use the digital opk so I canβt really comment on these mine also goes from like white to positive in a day I can never predict it!
I can however relate to peeing on things! Negative this afternoon too my positive attitude is lost already lol.

@fuzzypeaches: Thank you for the insight. I used to use the CBEAD but it would "argue" with the OPK strips! π€£ Honestly, when one would say I was OV, the other wouldn't be close ... I SHOULD be used to this. π€¦ββοΈ POAS is driving me flipping bonkers π€ͺ!

@Kaohinani: of course I want to go with the easy@home because it looks closer. BUT have you considered used the easy@home this cycle so far or just the green one?
Also what are your temps doing?

Hey all, it's been a while since I checked in but I come with good news! This was my 3rd cycle after the chemical and got my earliest positive ever on June 26th at 9dpo! I'm 16dpo today and things are looking good! Sending good vibes and baby dust to everyone!

@Phillybaby2013: Congratulations, mama! π₯³ Gorgeous progression on your HPTs! Thank you so much for sharing your spectacular news with us.
@Sams Mom: Thank you for responding. Until yesterday afternoon after work, I was solely utilizing the Smilereader's SmileLab (green) OPK which was yielding virtually NO progression. I considered it may be a defective box (as it was new box), so I tried my Easy@Home OPKs. Voila-- Huge difference between the 2 and I become perplexed ... so I keep testing. π€¦ββοΈ Of course, this is the ONE cycle I'm NOT temping as my RE stated my surgery could throw my temps off a bit (any bodily stress such as surgery, severe illness, or a car wreck can) so I chose against it this month. I just didn't want to stress over wayward (too high or low) temps which may confuse FF. π€·ββοΈ Now, I'm just winging it.
@paranundrum: Good morning (Noon for you)! Hope you are having a wonderful day.
@yellowbeach: Woah, where did you come from?!?! I thought you were still enjoying Denmark. I could really use your expertise as a physician and in TTC this cycle. In any case, I hope you are having an amazing time.

@Kaohinani: Thanks, I'm about to go to lunch! Luckily I don't have too much work so I can slack off a bit.
This week is a bit rough for me (the weekend will be fun though), I have so much to do! Choir practice every evening after work, I get home at ten, way too late for me. Tomorrow morning I have to go to the vet with my pup for her vaccines, It's during my work hours and I had to ask a friend of mine to drive us, so I wouldn't be more that two hours late for work. (I don't drive and the rest of the family is busy) Before the vet I have to go to repeat my own labs and I must not forget to bring my own paperwork, my pups passport, my sheet-music for the rehearsal, my lunch or my sanity with me.
It's not that much actually, but I really need some downtime at home in the evenings or I'll get cranky. I don't have that opportunity this week and AF doesn't help either.

@paranundrum: Wow, that does seem like a lot. You are one busy lady ! I get the need for down time. Hopefully, you will be able to carve out a bit for yourself before things become a bit overwhelming. You will have to update us with how this weekend goes (perhaps, even share a few photos ... I know I'd love to see!).

@Kaohinani: I'll try to make some nice photos and you'll most definitely get an update, maybe on Monday, but it will come for sure.
