@Sams Mom: I'm glad Sam wasn't traumatized looking at the Endo pics! IDK, the ovary with the cyst kinda looks like a dinosaur egg ๐ฆ๐ฅ to me ๐คฃ ... BUT, if Sam doesn't see dinosaurs ๐ฆ in there, maybe good things ๐คทโโ๏ธ could come. I had the most painful OV (blaming surgery), a few days of repose (just grumpy), and cramps have returned (yesterday at 5 dpo and today). Definitely, a "new" experience and different feeling cycle. I'm pretty laissez faire this cycle. Kinda wish that I had tracked my BBT after all (* to collect data, of course ๐คฃ) but, whatever.
How are you holding up? I am sorry about your Chic-Fil-A. ๐ฅบ

@JennyLayneAZ: Oh, NO!!!!!! You just joined the board! I am so sorry.

@Kaohinani: thanks. I've been following along though! See you all in August! I'm feeling optimistic for this cycle.

@JennyLayneAZ: Iโm ready to jump on an August board when you are!

Hey guys! Iโm only 6 DPO so I obviously needed to satisfy the POAS monster this morning. And there was a faint but totally visible pink line! I was like how?! Then I started to get annoyed that I had a bad batch of HPTs because thereโs is literally no way.
Then I realized it was an OPK ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Talk about a roller coaster.

@Mrs.Panda: Oh no, that must have sucked! Hopefully you'll get your real BFP in a few days, but that kind of false hope is just cruel...

How is everyone doing today?
I have only today and tomorrow until vacation and I couldn't take a minute more. I really need it, my body is telling me I need to take it easy for a while, everything hurts and I just want to sleep...

@JennyLayneAZ: I am so glad that you will be on the August board!
@yellowbeach: Welcome back [from vacation]! (* It looked FABULOUS!) Your contributions here have been missed. I am so happy that you will be on the POAS board next month. ... When is your next IVF date (and will it be fresh or FET?)?
@Mrs.Panda: Oh, Myyyy! ๐คฃ I can only imagine the range of emotions panning over your face in the confusion! The TWW has you all discombobulated. Don't worry, (I'm at 7 dpo today) yesterday I was not feeling 100% and have been super crampy so I decided to make my POAS girls proud and POAS ... I nearly did the same (* reached for an HPT and grabbed an OPK from the box). I ended up POA HPT (BFN) and an OPK (VVVFL). 6 dpo is so early (earliest clinical implantation is at 5 dpo) but it fed my need to "know right now." ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@paranundrum: I'm right there with you. I have a bit over a week left to instruct summer session and then I can focus on "life" before DD returns to school. DH will return from training around the 30th so, perhaps, until the IUI my RE is allowing in August, we will have a mini-staycation ๐คทโโ๏ธ. As for you, what are your plans? Any travel?
nectarine / 2358 posts
@paranundrum: @Kaohinani: it was just confusing lol problem with me is that I can see a squinter in a plain sheet of paper so I was starting to convince myself for a half second. This is 7 DPO

@Kaohinani: We're going to a concert, I'll visit my mother and siblings, maybe do a road trip and I'll probably visit some friends I haven't see in a while, but I look forward to sleeping in late with my pup the most. I'm not a morning person.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Mrs.Panda: I have a pretty keen eye for super-squinters. IDK if I see anything there as of YET but I anxiously await your 8 dpo HPT (with fingers ๐ค AND toes crossed ... mind you, that is difficult to do!
). Hopefully, we will see some happy pink lines (went "Bob Ross" there) on your HPT. In fact, I may even test tomorrow or on 9 dpo "just because" I haven't been able to actively test [or on the board for that matter] for months. Keeping my expectations low and my hopes high.

@paranundrum: Sounds fantastic! (I am a morning person; however, I need far more sleep than I get.
) I love reading about your ventures. You will have to share.

For the remaining ladies on the board, I want to play the "Non-Symptoms Game."
Simply list all of your TWW Progesterone-driven (fueled?) symptoms that mimic BFP symptoms and make you want to test early:
My example-
This cycle:
โข Super strong and painful OV (* blaming it on post-surgical OV)
โข Cramping (like AF) but lower and localized on CDs 5 and 6 ... Today, nada.
โข Lots of CF (odd for someone with Sjogren's)
โข Last night, wine tasted "metallic" and avocados were "too green tasting" [* think like cut grass] ... I can feel everyone rolling their eyes ๐๐คฃ)
โข Slight backache (sciatica)
โข Gas (Glad DH is traveling ATM) and Bloat. Fun stuff there.
๐คญ๐คข
Of course, I have had these phantom symptoms in medicated cycles (Clomid was the WORST!) and when my P4 spikes, nausea also kicks in. All BFN, though ... but, I still test (most cycles).
In any case, I'd like to read any "TWW Non-symptoms" from fellow POAS ladies OR even actual tip-off symptoms from those who got their lucky BFPs.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Kaohinani: oh thereโs definitely nothing there lol it just shows the pervasive crazy that POAS and TTC carries.
nectarine / 2649 posts
@Kaohinani: went to RE this morning and we are on track for a retrieval 7/24, with fresh transfer 7/29 which will make for an Aug 6-7ish?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
To anyone who actually reads my above post (The Non-Symptoms Game), I meant cramps at 5-6 DPO, not CD. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I'm a doofus. ๐คช
clementine / 811 posts
@Kaohinani: We all read your posts! I just don't have anything to add right now, I'm still waiting for OV.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@paranundrum: Oh, no, no, no.... I didn't mean that people were [intentionally] skipping over my posts (although they are absolutely entitled to if they wish), more so, I meant that today has been a high-volume post day and it may get lost in the shuffle. If someone were to read it, I would wish that she would know that I meant "DPO" and not "CD." My brain clocked out while I was writing that post. ๐๐คฃ
I DO appreciate that you WOULD respond and play along were you in the TWW. Thank you.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Wow. Interesting! ๐ค (I can't remember if you had sore BBs in natural cycles ... I DO remember the medications did a doozy on you with phantom BFP symptoms. Poor lady!) As for me, sore BBs mean AF is coming (with exception to my BCP cycles) and chin acne is a norm. This cycle: nothing YET. I think removing the cyst and Endo is regulating my hormones (* I also OVed on CD16!) & changing my TWW game. Thank you for responding!
nectarine / 2649 posts
@Kaohinani: I don't think I had symptoms in my 2WW with either pregnancy... first one I'm not sure I would have recognized them just because I was on so many meds... and #2 I was already 5 weeks when I realized I was preggo... so really didn't have time for symptom spotting - just checked my app and realized AF was supposed to have shown up a week earlier. Maybe if I paid more attention...
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: Thank you for responding. In all honesty, I didn't realize I was pregnant with DD (thought I had the flu then realized I was "late!") but I was primed with DS (who was also a surprise). HOWEVER, after so many "freak cycles," medicated cycles, and the one that I shan't speak of (Aug last year); my body wouldn't know what a pregnant cycle looked like if I were having quints
nevermind a singleton
!!!
pear / 1955 posts
@Kaohinani: Oooh, I'll symptom spot with you! I'm about 5 DPO and I've been super hungry the past couple days, and I also have a lot of CM, which is odd at this point in my cycle.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: that's how I found out about Sam. Bought a new phone before our honeymoon, tracked my period but didn't sync everything, then got a wild hair to update everything on my phone. Synced my app, and bam, I'm 2 weeks late.

Sorry to post and run, but Iโm having huge urges to poas and had to moan about it. I almost 99.999999% canโt be pregnant (no finishing inside and havenโt even done the deed that much), but Iโm now a few hours away from 4 days late, with the teeny tiniest amount of occasional brown spotting for four days (only noticeable because of wearing a tampon, not coming out otherwise). I am on vacation, and only brought one wondfo with me, which I took this morning and was negative (although of course with my line eyes I swear I can see *something* at just the right angle ๐คฆโโ๏ธ). Anyway, I donโt even want to be pregnant this month, Iโm excited about my FET next month, but this mind game is getting to me! I wish I had some osoms to pee on!

Good morning, ladies! (And, good afternoon, @Paranundrum: !)
It's Friiiiiidayyyy!
@raspberries: Hunger and CM are, definitely, promising. FWIW - The CM is what has been throwing me off since I rarely ever have any, of course, today's check yielded far less than the last 4 days. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@LAZB: Was your retrieval this cycle (* I can't recall.)? If your eggo isn't preggo (and that HPT is stark white), perhaps, the physical stress on your body from the retrieval pushed your cycle back a bit. ๐คทโโ๏ธ After my surgery, my RE said my cycle may be wonky (come early OR a couple days late) and stated it happens with reproductive surgeries and retrievals so I shouldn't be surprised (what caught me off guard was OV-ing 4-6 days later than my typical non-medicated cycles!). In any case, enjoy your vaca, test when you get back if AF hasn't come and, thank you for sharing your HPT.

@Kaohinani: Good morning!
It's my last day before vacation and the morning was crazy busy, I'm starting to get things under control now though. I want to clear my table before I go and not leave anything for the person that covers for me while I'm away. It's so much more troublesome having to start something halfway done.
And I brought everyone cake because it's the last day. I made a Swiss roll with strawberries.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@paranundrum: You are such a thoughtful person! I try and do the same when I have a substitute and I know I would appreciate it if someone were to organize everything for me before they left AND THEN BRING CAKE! You are awesome.
Side note - We need to begin sending each other food items internationally. ๐ฅฏ
๐ง๐ฅง
( I love to bake but I also love trying new things. ) Better idea yet, maybe we could trade more recipes? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
clementine / 811 posts
@Kaohinani: International food swap would be great! Unfortunately the condition of the sent food on arrival may not be as great as the idea itself...
Recipe trade sounds a lot less like a health hazard.
I'm not sure you can eat that particular Swiss roll, it's not at all keto, but I'm all for trading recipes. I'm always running out of dinner ideas.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@Kaohinani: No symptoms here! But I never had nausea or anything really with any of my other pregnancies until farther along, and even then they were mild. BFN at 8 DPO.
nectarine / 2358 posts
@LAZB: I have line eyes too lol I swear I can see a shadow but I am not to be trusted.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Mrs.Panda: You are such a lucky ducky ๐ฆ to not have had any serious pregnancy symptoms (even later on)! I am legit jealous!
Too bad for your BFN today ... Perhaps, a BFP tomorrow? ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐ค
clementine / 950 posts
@LAZB: I want to see something so badly but I donโt think I do whenโ d o you get back?!
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@Kaohinani: retrieval was last cycle but Iโm sure itโs still the after effects from all the meds. Still annoying!
@Mrs.Panda: Iโm glad you see the imaginary line too Iโm really good at seeing lines that arenโt there lol
