@mrsmcd: I'm so glad it went well today! The future is looking pretty good, lady! As for my daily clomid update... I took the 2nd pill today. I have NO heartburn. So it was just the vitamins! I do, however have a headache. But whatevs. I can tough it out

@mamacate: oh my gosh. A girl after my own heart! I seriously "read" license plates ALL. THE. TIME. Sometimes I even make up the rest of the sentence with the leftover letters. Perhaps we should start a separate support thread for this... there must be others who struggle!

Y'all!!!! I just got an email tonight with a job offer!! My dream job! I've been praying for it and had gone on 2 interviews and finally after a month, I got it!! So the main thing on my mind right now is how good our God is and how His plan is to work things out for our good! I'm so happy I just had to share

I have to schedule a physical and drug test for my new job. I am probably being paranoid, but is there any chance a pregnancy test will be part of that? If so, I want to do it ASAP (the earliest I can do is CD21, which is probably 6DPO). Am I being paranoid?

@organicmama: So happy for you! Congratulations!

Love the gratitude lists- keep them coming!

I have been sleeping until I wake up most days, which often ends up being 9-10 hours. I have been feeling guilty that I am sleeping away my vacation. I listened to a fertility podcast yesterday that was discussing the importance of a healthy diet, water, and enough sleep for conception. She said the optimum sleep for fertility is 10 hours a night and the average IF patient gets 6.2 hours. So my "laziness" might be helping my fertility.

(Did I cover everything? Probably not...)

My EDD is March 13, 2015 - Friday the 13th!! Haha
The last Friday of work before Spring Break, which is a natural break in the school year. Perfect timing!

Some of you asked what I did differently this cycle. The beginning of this cycle is when my naturopath said I may have PCOS and it was important to lose some weight and cut out sugar and carbs, as well as only eating hormone-free meats. So I hit it hard (I've been wanting to lose 15-20lbs), exercising and watching my diet. I hugely increased my fruit n veggie intake, which is always a good thing. I lost 7lbs before ovulation!

I kept doing everything else, too. Temping, OPKs, CM. I ovulated so late, I kinda gave up hope (Cd23!), thinking my PCOS had really done a number on my hormones and I may not even ovulate. So, I wasn't even as diligent with BD timing. Last week, I was researching adoption options and finding out more about surrogacy! Me and DH are open to both - we'd just love to be parents, however it happens!

So, I kept waiting for AF to arrive this past weekend. We were in Calgary, staying with SIL. Too weird to test, and there seemed no point anyway. But then AF never arrived! I kept using my progesterone cream, just in case, and good thing I did!

I'd like to say the reason I'm KU is that I was relaxed, but I have many other big stressors going on in my life, so that can't be it... BUT, I did start summer break, and had more rest time to try and let go of stress. Soooo... Who knows?!!?

Anyway, there u have it... Clear as mud! No idea what did it. Still hoping it's a sticky bean.

Excited to see my Naturopath today! Need to make appointment with family doc as well. Here we goooo...

@LIL BEAN: So excited for you. I am hoping it was lower stress that did it since it gives more hope for the rest of us. What # cycle was this of TTC? I always like hearing about people who got pregnant after a while since it gives me hope! We are on cycle 16, though my acupuncturist said since I had been stressed out, that it's like resetting/starting over.

@AmeliaBedilia: well, I went off BCP last July, but only started charting in November. So, 7 cycles of charting and really knowing when I O'd.

@organicmama: I'm so glad clomid is treating you well. And so very happy to hear about your dream job offer! Woo hoo!! Congrats, lady!

@ctegge0416: Thanks lady. I feel you on being thankful for sunshine!

@AmeliaBedilia: I highly doubt a pregnancy test would be a part of your work physical. That seems like it crosses into an invasion of your right to privacy. And so what if your work found out you were pregnant? What do you think they would do? Rescind your job offer? Oh my gosh... I always hope that happens to someone I know because we'd start a lawsuit so quick the company wouldn't know what hit them.

@LIL BEAN: Thanks for sharing. It seems like a great month for you all around!

@organicmama: That is wonderful!!!! Congratulations!!!!! If you don't mind sharing, what line of work are you in?

And I also read (and randomly memorize) license plates. Maybe we do need a support group.

@MrsMcD: How are you feeling today? FX the HSG is a magic fix for you! I am so glad to hear it was easy.

    Things I am grateful for:
    - All of you
    - My amazing husband who has had endless patience and support for me these very trying last few weeks.
    - My job, that allows me to live
    - My funny dog
    - To echo MrsMcD, I am grateful to have all of what I need and most of what I want (even if I have a hard time seeing or remembering that sometimes)

@crystal: Of course! I have previously been in healthcare finance (I have a finance degree) but decided in October that I was ready to fulfill my calling as a teacher... So I got my certification in Early Childhood and just got hired on for the 2014-2015 school year. YIPPEE! The best part is that my son is starting Kindergarten and he will be able to go with me. It's a private, Christian school and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!

I have put in my notice at my current job (managing a Cardiology practice) and I am seriously having to convince myself to come in every morning. He is BRUTAL to work for... Only 17 more work days and I'm outta here!!

@Crystal: Hi lady! I feel fine! No cramping. No dripping dye. I did think I had EWCM that is tinted. Could it be EWCM? Or something else. Anyone who had an HSG know??? Anyhow, thanks for asking.

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm so glad you are calmed down over this. Enjoy your vacation and your 10-hour sleep nights! Lucky!

@organicmama: Your new job sounds like a dream!! Quite an interesting career change. So amazing. What grade will you be teaching?

So the plane crash I mentioned yesterday.... with the young widow I suspected of dealing with infertility... turns out she's three months pregnant with their first child. I don't know if that makes the situation better or worse. So it was her dad and her brother-in-law that also died, which leaves the aforementioned widow's sister also a widow. Here's the sad kicker - the sister is pregnant and was due to have a baby girl this past Sunday, a day or so after the crash. I'm just dying over this story. It shakes me back to reality when I've been feeling a little upset and sorry for myself lately.

    honeydew / 7295 posts

    @sweetooth: thank you honey!

@MrsMcD: that is just so heartbreaking! I can't imagine. I do think the baby is a blessing because they always are and because she will always have a part of her husband but my god that is just unthinkably sad. I'm sure she would give anything to have the men in her life back.

@MrsMcD: That is truly just a terrible terrible heartbreaking story. Why have I not heard of this until now?

  25. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@Crystal: I don't know why you haven't heard of it. The crash was in Lake Elsinore. One of the guy's that died was from Orange County but the others are from the IE I think.

@MrsMccarthy: Clearly the baby is a blessing. Sorry if you assumed I was implying otherwise.

  26. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@MrsMcD: Oh i didn't think you were implying that. And being pregnant alone is VERY hard and vERY heartbreaking, I am sure there are many who would feel conflicted about the situation. Post HSG CM is a total thing!!!! i had that as well as some spotting. FX!!!!!

Anyone in their TWW? Anyone waiting for O?

  29. MamaCate

    pomegranate / 3595 posts

@MrsMcD: I am about 8/9 dpo and trying to decide when to test. Some days I feel hopeful and think maybe I "feel" pregnant, which I know is ridiculous, and other days I am less sure. AF is due on Monday so I would consider testing over the weekend normally. But, my parents are visiting this weekend thurs-mon so I am wondering if I should wait until Tuesday after they leave or jump the gun and test Thursday morning. I should be 10/11 dpo at that point. What do you all think?

  30. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@MamaCate: Gosh! You are totally on the tail end of your TWW. Well, I test to put myself out of my lame hopefulness. I like to just know and move on, but bfn don't get me too down. If you would be so sad over a bfn, I'd wait until your parents leave. Either way, you are too early to test now! Keep us updated, please!

@AmeliaBedilia: I don't think a job can legally make you take a pregnancy test. GL!

@LIL BEAN: Yay! I hope your lil bean is sticky!!

@MrsMcD: Oh my goodness..that story just got worse and worse.

@organicmama: This month is going very slow…I have 22 more days…wah...

I'm finally going to stop lurking & join the fun.
    CD: 16
Cycle #: 7 (w/ an "off" cycle in May while pg briefly)
    TTC #: 1
    POAS date: probably 7/20
Backstory: racing against time before I run outta eggs, being an AMA (aka old) momma to be @ 40, soon 41. We were THRILLED to have gotten a BFP in May, but lost the baby at 6wks. Fortunately my cycle returned to normal without delay, so this is our 1st cycle back on OPKs, charting, TI, etc & today is O day!!
July TTC plan: BD O-1 & O (DH just returned from being out of town just in time!) & we have just started seeing an RE. If we don't get a BFP this cycle, we'll test all we can & get a plan for any relevant treatment.
Silver Linings of not being KU: I know there are some, but they are hard to focus on... I guess relatively uninterrupted sleep & being able to plan whatever I want for my time/our time without taking baby schedules into account.
Let's lemonade toast to lots of July BFPs.

My daily clomid update (since y'all had to know)... took the 3rd dose today. Aside from mild headaches and a smudge of grumpiness, it's been pretty uneventful. Hoping the same for those of you starting yours next cycle!
