@MrsMcD: @MrsMccarthy: thank you friends! I will definitely keep you all up to date! I like thinking about being at the "tail end" of my tww but it feels like it will still be a while...but a week from now I should definitely know either way. That is comforting.

@GoGoSnoGirl: welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope that your BFP is right around the corner!

    @lilyofthewest: fingers crossed for you!

@GoGoSnoGirl: Welcome!! I'm so sorry about your loss. I think you will find a lot of support here from girls who have gone through similar experiences. I am hoping you get your rainbow baby soon! I added your POAS date to the list.

@lilyofthewest: Lucky you in the TWW! I'm waiting to O still. Thank you for indulging us with your tests!!

@organicmama: Oh my gosh! I can't believe you saw a bfp plate. That's awesome! And 4th grade.... That is such a sweet age for kids. They are so impressionable, too. You will be such a great teacher, I can imagine.

Now down to business here: When is O date for you? How soon after your HSG did you start BDing? Do you plan to do every day or every other day? And did you get massive amounts of EWCM after your HSG? Sorry for all the questions!! Thank you in advance for your responses!!

@MrsMcD: I would SO want you to be my lawyer if I ever got into any legal trouble! I love your, "we'd start a lawsuit so quick the company wouldn't know what hit them." This made me smile!

Thanks everyone for the sweet and encouraging words!

@mrsmcd: After my HSG in May we got busy 3 days later. That month we hit O-3, O-2, O, and O+1. BUT in my case it didn't work probably because of my hormone levels. The blocked tubes just weren't my problem. I don't really remember any ewcm at all. But then I haven't really had that in a long time. I'm thinking this month we will bust out the preseed and try Mucinex starting cd12.

    @gogosnogirl: welcome!

Good morning everyone. I overslept hot yoga (again), and am debating on what to do for exercise. The new acupuncturist discouraged running, since hitting the bottom of the feet hard can affect one of the meridians related to fertility. I would like to lose 5-10 pounds. I am leaning toward running anyway. I don't go that fast or long. I am just having trouble getting motivated today.

@ctegge0416: Thanks lady! I don't do plaintiff's work very often. But I did once sue a very large company for some horrible disability discrimination. It was amazing every step of the way.

@organicmama: Yes! Bust out the preseed! This could and likely will be your month!!!

@AmeliaBedilia: Just avoid running on concrete. Things like asphalt and obviously a dirt path are softer than concrete, I think. I would think you are good to continue doing whatever work outs you normally do <----- says someone with absolutely no medical knowledge. Let us know what you decide to do. You can always go walking!

  9. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@MrsMcD: I went running, although more like jogging. We have really nice asphalt trails in my neighborhood that I run on. I walked 5 minutes, ran 10, walked 3, ran 10, walked 5. I am tired of giving up stuff to get a BFP and not, and I am trying to tell myself that I am NTNP this month.

@nicolechris11212: I'm so excited for your RE appointment!

Why is this thread slow lately?!? What are you all girls up to?

I peed on an OPK today just to entertain myself. Negative at CD10 as I totally expected.

I was doing pretty well with the whole TTC thing- my acupuncturist thinks it is all stress and one of my meridians off, and was very confident I will become pregnant (though said she didn't know when). DH thinks it is stress, and that the break and my new, lower stress job should make the difference. Then I started reading some doom and gloom articles, all saying the chances of a 34 year old who is on her 16th cycle needs to see RE yesterday, clock is ticking, etc. I O like clockwork on CD15. All my CD3 labs are fine, borderline LP and 3 months of progesterone haven't worked, SA fine. The only test I haven't had is an HSG, but I will have to pay the total cost, no history of STDs/risks for tubal scarring, and my doc thinks it is very unlikely I would have endometriosis bad enough to block a tube without more symptoms. I don't want to do IVF, and I have heard IUI is not beneficial if SA is fine. Please give me some hope/encouragement!

  13. LIL BEAN

@AmeliaBedilia: 34 is not old. I have about 100 friends having babies right now (yes- 100) and they are all early-30s AND saying they are on the younger side in waiting rooms! And when I was 35 and having a freak-out, my doctor pointed out that if he had a 36 or even 37-yr-old patient come in and say "I'm pregnant", he wouldn't even bat an eye. Just get her on prenatals ASAP. That made me feel heaps better! Don't you worry, Sugar!
As for exercise, did you know that you burn the same amount of calories if you walk 3 miles or run 3 miles? (Walking would just take longer time). So, if you're worried abt running, give walking a go! Equally good stress reliever, too.
Also, my naturopath is convinced that my losing 7 pounds was the sole reason for getting KU. She was almost excited, wishing ALL of her patients would just lose a little weight - that it makes SUCH a difference to your hormone balance! So, that's good to know. It's really not THAT hard, especially with a possible pregnancy to motivate you. Trust me!
    So, GO FITNESS-GIRLS, GO!

@LIL BEAN: Thank you! You make me feel so much better. I am pretty healthy except for this and stress, but I am working on the stress. Did your naturopath have anything else to say besides to lose weight?

@MrsMcD: Yes, but said since I am ovulating that it wouldn't likely benefit much. She said it could lengthen then luteal phase but that the progesterone would be better, doesn't require monitoring, and does not increase risk of multiples.

@AmeliaBedilia: So how long do you think you will keep trying as you are?

  18. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@MrsMcD: I don't know. I am opposed to IVF, and hearing from multiple respected sources that an IUI won't help since DH's SA is fine, so there is not much to do.

  19. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: I think you have all kinds of hope! Some things just take time! If you don't want to do low level fertility interventions/assistance, and you don't want to do IVF, then all you can do is just continue to have hot sex with your husband and wait this one out. I have a friend who just got pregnant after 2.5 years of trying. If that doesn't give you hope, then I don't know what will.

@AmeliaBedilia: sorry to hear you are struggling! I have two things to share: first, stop reading doom and gloom articles! I mean that in the nicest possible way, but I think it helps to focus on the positive and remember that those articles don't know you and your specific situation so they can shove it!

Second, I think age is less of a big deal than it used to be. I was 34 when I had an m/c last year and the MA was saying how many more 36 &37 year olds she is seeing with boring pregnancies...so hope is not lost! Hugs!

@mrsmcd: It sure has been slow lately! Still a couple more days til our next POASer... But in other news, I will take my last clomid pill this evening, cd 7. Pretty much all my "side effects" are nil. No headache, not too irritable. There really is NOTHING exciting going on for me til early next week... Woohoo for fertile week!

Speaking of waiting for testers, I am sitting here at 10/11 dpo trying my best not to test until I get a little closer, and trying not to madly symptom spot in the meantime. I am feeling more optimistic and impatient to test this cycle, not sure why? I do want to wait until at least Saturday ( AF is due Monday) plus I only have frer in the house and I don't want to waste it.

@organicmama: Clomid can cause side effects for a while after finishing the pills. I hope you don't get any. I had a rare side effect - absolutely terrible leg aches over a week after finishing the pills.

@swedishfish: oh no. leg aches would be horrible. i really don't like aches of any kind.

@eabae: So sorry you are out this month, lady. Be nice to yourself this weekend. Keep thinking positive and be hopeful for next cycle!

@eabae: so sorry to hear this! Hope you can treat yourself this weekend and that the next cycle if it for you!

@MrsMcD: thanks! I need help to hold out! Funny story: I was at an in home session for work but the client was running late do I decided to run to target while I waited. I was tempted to but another cheap test but wanted a sign. First toms I scoped out the aisle there was a random dude sitting nearby waiting for the pharmacy, and when I came back later the target lady was restocking the shelves. I felt like the universe was telling me to be patient so I appreciate your reinforcement!

I don't know why I am so impatient this month.

@septca: I miss you around here, lady! Have fun at the beach, you lucky girl!

@ctegge0416: Oh man,... I'm on CD 11. BDing commenced yesterday following my HSG on Monday. O is expected on Sunday. This time is moving so slow! What CD are you?!? You are early in your cycle, right??

I forgot to add a POAS date for myself.

I had an IUI last Monday, so they told me to test on Monday the 14th. My progesterone was only 13.6 this week on Monday, they said that I could still be pregnant, but if not, next month, we move on to 100mg of Clomid (which makes me cry over everything), a day 13 ultrasound, then a trigger shot and the IUI. I am hoping not to have to go through that.

I have heard of people being pregnant with progesterone levels lower than that, so I am just hopeful. Good luck to everyone!

@Mrsmccarthy, how are you feeling? I am so happy for you!

@MrsMcD: time always moves sooooo slowly between AF and O (regardless of whether it's before or after O!).

I'm on cd 7, and I *really* need to start temping so I can confirm O next week.

I just ordered conceive plus and sure predict HPTs- wish me luck!!!
