I have found that jumperoos are on craigslist all the time! I just bought a Baby Einstein one for $35!! The fabric seat is removable and washable, then I just wiped down the plastic.

From the reviews I read, the Baby Einstein one starts at a lower height than the fisher price ones. How long is your LO? My guy was 23.75" at his last appointment and he just barely can touch the floor when sitting in it!

I stacked board games until he was tall enough!

Fisher price rainforest jumperoo for sure. My LO is 8 months old and still obsessed. When she was younger we put a pillow down so she could jump.

My LO is loving the jumperoo. He's still a little short for it at 4.5 months, so we put a folded up blanket under it and it works perfectly. Not the best pic of the setup, but it should give you an idea.

We put a cushion under the Jumperoo. She looooved it!

We also platformed under the jumperoo. I used a big couch cushion!

Try Craigslist. I bought a used one for the next baby for $50 at a consignment sale. I borrowed one from a a friend for E.

@Pirouette: Well, we have the same one as @blackbird: and you can see in the picture... it's not small or compact. It takes up about the same floor space as a play mat/activity gym thing. But we live in a 2 bed condo and think it is worth the space for now!
