@bhbee: Sorry about the negative but congrats on the weight loss! I'm down about 10 since I started a concerted effort this spring, and down 15 from this time last year, according to my app. My goal is to lose 30 more so I'm feeling motivated in being a quarter of the way there (or a third of the way, depending on how you look at it.)

Also... HOLY HELL YOU GUYS, I've been so successful at not fixating on TTC that I realized I have not once taken my progesterone suppositories! I was supposed to start the day after my IUI! WTF was I thinking! The purpose of the progesterone is to lengthen my luteal phase so I'm hoping that starting tonight - 8 DPIUI - will not be too late. I don't think I'm in any danger of AF trying to start until about 10 DPIUI based on previous cycles. But seriously... WHAT A STUPID MOVE!!!!!!!!!!

@bhbee: Sorry about the BFN, but nice work on losing 5lbs! That's awesome! I'll admit, I let myself splurge way too much on ice cream after this cycle.

@DesertDreams88: sorry hope we get better news soon! I kind of want to skip testing tomorrow, we'll see if I can hold out.

@dominobee: I'm sorry about the progesterone. I think it will be ok though! There are definitely people who don't take it until bfp and you're getting in before af at least. Fx

Omg you guys! I'm pregnant! Cycle 14!!!! Omg!!!! I thought for sure I was out because my boobs aren't sore anymore and I started getting like little cramps yesterday...but this morning I took my last frer that was going to expire next month and it was positive right away! Then I took another test and another test and all 3 are positive! I was supposed to get my period tomorrow or maybe Wednesday! I've never had a second line ever in all the months that I have tested! Today is 13dpo!!!

@dominobee: that sucks! I hope it'll turn out okay! I know how you must feel. I hope it isn't too late.

AF came yesterday but I knew she was coming as my temp dropped on Sunday.

I'm starting to feel the pressure. My friend is having a destination wedding in December. The RSVP date is August. I'd love to go, except I'd rather have a baby. If we don't get pregnant by August I think I will need to make a decision on if well put ttc on hold until after the wedding. I really don't want to do that but i would hate myself if we didn't go, and I never got pregnant by then.

@mrskansas: @snarkybiochemist: @Raspberry: @dominobee: @Coral: @petitenoisette: @Umbreon: Thanks guys! This was actually a terrible and weird cycle. It started off with a gnarly cold (gnarly being an understatement), and my period wasn't even that normal, it was like one day on 2 days off one day on, then I had mid cycle ovulatory bleeding, which I've had in the past, and I just take it as a good sign. I didn't even do OPKs this cycle. I did start taking folate instead of folic acid and I took ubiquinol last cycle and this cycle till I thought I ovulated. This was on a natural cycle, and I still can't believe it. I'm going to get betas at lunch! We were supposed to go to a screening visit for a clinical trial on Friday, but now I'm pretty sure we can't go. I hope this sticks! I don't feel pregnant at all, and my boobs have gotten less sore over the last couple of days...they're still full and a little sore but not as much as they were CD 5 - CD11.

@Coral: I don't know, I think i would follow the advice of my doctor in that case. The wedding is in India so pretty far. I think I would ask around then to see if they thought we should put ttc on hold, but I just hope it doesn't come to that.

    @Tionn3: congrats!!

I can't keep up with this thread but am reading when I can. Good thoughts to all of you!! This is the first cycle we are trying for baby #3 and I can't believe how quickly TTC has once again become crazy making! The things you forget! I'm only 5 or 6 dpo (didn't use OPKs this month) and every feeling I get I'm on high alert. Last night laying in bed I had this bizarre fluttering / kicking feeling going on, pretty sure my body is just encouraging my crazy thoughts already! I'm actually looking forward to getting AF this cycle so we can try again next with OPKs!

@dominobee: that stinks to forget the progesterone, but like another PP said, many people don't take progesterone until they see that so you're probably in the clear!

@Tionn3: so exciting and such great lines! all the best wishes for a H&H 9 months.

@Umbreon: I think traveling to India in the 1st or 2nd trimester wouldn't be against medical advice, but maybe not something you'd *want* to do in the 1st trimester (morning sickness, fatigue). If you TTC through August, how many cycles total would that be? Would that be a good time to take a break mentally?

  32. DesertDreams88

    grapefruit / 4361 posts

@HappyBaker: yesh I was trying to be relaxed about TTC #2 but as of about 3dpo on the first cycle (this one) the crazy started. Oops! I'm already planning to try Clomid next cycle (needed that for LO1).

  33. jodyblair

@HappyBaker: I'm also 5 dpo trying for baby #3! This is our second cycle.

  34. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@DesertDreams88: well the thing is we are currently waiting for a fertility specialist appointment. I'm in Canada and we have to wait for the referral. We've gone for all the tests so I'm hoping well get something in the mail with our appointment details in the next couple weeks. I'm hoping the appointment will be July or sooner but it could be August. We're on cycle 17 or 18 now (I've lost track)

Maybe the universe wants me to attend that wedding haha. Maybe I'll get pregnant such that it'll be the perfect time to travel.

Good luck with trying for #2!

@DesertDreams88: haha at least it's not just me!

@jodyblair: how old are your other 2? Mine are 4.5 and 2.5

  36. dominobee

@Umbreon: I wouldn't worry about the wedding too much. If you have to ditch it at the last minute, that's just the way things go sometimes. I would, however, buy flight insurance if you think there's a chance you'll cancel.

My hCG is finally low enough that the control line is stronger than the test line! Maybe almost done waiting to try.

  38. Umbreon

    clementine / 854 posts

@dominobee: yeah I would definitely do that for sure. We'll see how it plays out. There's still a few cycles in between, who knows what could happen.
