@Iced Tea: we need to hear the story!
@thepaperbutterfly: aww! My dad is Asian and my mom was white. I always like seeing couples like that.
We met at work. We had a whirlwind romance and got married and had a baby 361 days after our first official date. Since then, we've had another and lived in 4 countries.

We met on a co ed softball team. I actually thought he hated me at first but he took over the team for one of our tournaments and he was texting the team about when to be at the fields and what to wear etc and I was giving him grief bc he wanted us to be there too early and I was telling him it never started on time and I'd be there when I was ready.. blah blah.. anyway ironically we both have the same sarcastic sense of humor and the entire tournament we were inseparable. And we went on a date the next Thursday and the rest is history.......
Funny thing is that one of DH's close friends also played with us in that tourney and apparently he mentioned to DH that he was going to ask for my number and DH said to back off, I was his... LOL... but DH was right. I would have been disappointed if his friend had asked me out instead of him

Short version: We met at a weekend-long party at a close mutual friend's lake house.
Long version: We'd been moving in the same circles for years, with tons of mutual friends and interests. I actually showed up to that party with a boyfriend, but he got drunk and passed out early and I stayed up late talking and playing music with a couple of people, including DH. When DH heard that I'd ended things with that boyfriend a couple of weeks later, he asked our mutual friend for my number and we got together. Once we started dating, all our mutual friends were constantly saying things like, "I can't believe it took so long for you two to meet and date, I've always thought you guys would be perfect together!" We kept asking why no one had thought to set us up - and as it turned out we'd met a bunch of times before over the past decade but never even noticed each other!

He was managing the house I rented a room in during my internship in college. He had a girlfriend while we became friends. He eventually broke it off with her and not long after initiated a "fun and awkward" conversation (he literally said, "want to have a fun, awkward conversation?") in which he asked me to consider starting a relationship with him. Lol, how direct! Seemed like maybe a bad idea at first, but I figured, why not?

Met in the back of an ambulance
I was working medical for a Dave Matthews concert and had to call in another ambulance to transport a super drunk girl to the hospital. DH was driving. ⚕️⚕️

We aren't sure when we first met, we went to Jr. High and HS together! He was first pointed out to me sometime during my sophomore year in HS (I think?). We were not friends, but we did have some friends in common. I think I first spoke to him senior year when he sat behind me in a class.
We became friendly in college because our moms ran into each other at the grocery store before Thanksgiving and his mom said "Oh, (DH) can give her a ride home for Thanksgiving, it's on his way" He did, but I fell asleep for 4 hrs of the 5 hr trip! But we had lunch later that year when we were both feeling homesick. Over the next few years, we would get dinner about 1-2 xs a year to catch up. Summer before senior year of college, we hung out a lot. He wanted to start something, I didn't want to do long distance...he wore me down and showed me that he was serious about making long-distance work!
We dated for 10 YEARS before we got married (1 year long distance in college, 6 years long-distance in grad school). We'll be married 7 years in September

He lived a couple apartments down from me and one of his roommates was interested in one of mine, so they just kept coming over
At one point, there were three couple between the apartments, we were the only ones to work out, but after we left the apartments, our best friends connected and got married!
