@coopsmama: Too me, it means super excited! Like a wide smile and a 'yyeeeeeee' excited sound.
I never thought of it meaning something negative! Ha! Interesting post.

I usually use it when the kids are driving me nuts. Like in an OMG I love them but did that REALLY just happen kind of way. So yeah, I guess irritated. The corners aren't upward, so it definitely would never read as an actual smile to me, but I feel like you can kinda read the tone of it based on context.
