I am totally breaking out like I'm 16 again. I thought with low estrogen pills this didn't happen as bad?
Any thoughts on when this might stop? Has this happened to anyone else?
What did you experience when you stopped taking birth control?

My experience with the pill was the opposite... I started taking it and immediately gained 5 lbs. I was also having crazy mood swings and crazy tender breasts. I stopped 2 weeks later and immediately dropped the 5 lbs, and the other symptoms disappeared immediately too. No more birth control for me! It's crazy what it can do to your system... in my case, NOT good things.

I didn't have it when I stopped the pill, but I did have it when I got pregnant. Which makes it harder because you're limited to what you can take. Good luck!

I got pregnant while I was still on the pill and didn't have any skin problems.. If your acne doesn't clear in a month or so, I would see a derm?

I know I'm jumping the gun a little with my complaining because I took my last pill on Saturday (placebo) so it's only been a few days. But I can see and feel acne forming like I haven't seen since I was a teenager which is really funny.
I'm hoping it stops after a couple weeks, esp since I took accutane a few year ago. I haven't been to my derm in years so I guess it's time for a visit..

I was expecting the acne to start but it hasn't yet (fingers crossed!) and I took my last pill at the end of January. For the first 2 weeks off, I had major headaches and hot flashes around the same time everyday.

Yep! Third cycle off the pill and my acne is rearing it's ugly head! I sure hope this doesn't last...

Like Adira I'm on my second cycle (6 month) off the pill and I've never had acne like this in my life! I didn't even have it before going on the pill. I went to get my eyebrows done today and asked the woman if she thought a facial would help, so I might try that. It's SO annoying, but I'm hoping it'll calm down once I've been off BC longer.

I'm on my third cycle off the pill and in general I feel AWESOME. However, I have noticed my skin and hair are a lot more oily. Therefore, I am breaking out a tad more, but I am also lazy about washing my face at night. I think if you have been on the pill a long time, your body is just getting used to the different hormones and will eventually even out... at least that's what I'm telling myself!

Mine was absolutely terrible. I think it took me about 6 months to get it under control. I'm sorry! And, I didn't know this right away, but apparently while TTC, you shouldn't use products with Salicylic Acid, only Benzoyl Peroxide. Just an FYI

That happened to me too, but I also got pregnant the first month off the pill so maybe it was bc of that. If you're TTC, then maybe look into using pregnancy safe skincare products? I use Belli acne cleanser. I don't know if it works, but basically I had some acne during the first trimester and it cleared up during the 2nd trimester. I think in the end, it's really just hormones and there's not much you can do about it.
