Can anyone recommend a nice looking (but not outrageously expensive) bookcase/bookshelf for my LO's playroom? I don't think I want floating shelves on the wall...I'm thinking a freestanding shelving system. Any help would be appreciated!

@MrsTiz: I'm not sure bc I just found it on google images...I've been looking too! I think it might be a DIY bookshelf based on plans by Ana White (her readers post projects they made based off her plans). I found the link to Ana White's plans and it looks very similar to the photo above...now I'm thinking of hiring someone to make this for me...

@hilsy85: @zippylef: I looked at Land of Nod and love their stuff but I think I want something that allows the books to face out. I love their book bins and book crates...those may be my fall back choice if I can't find exactly what I'm looking for...

@sandy: Honestly, those plans are pretty detailed and it wouldn't be a difficult project at all.

@sandy: @zippylef: Yeah that's super easy! I sent the plans to DH because he's going to build our bookshelf/shelves either way and he texted back "piece of cake" so i'll take his word for it.

@zippylef: Oh my gosh.. LO would love that.. he would run it to everything! He is a crazy man.
For bookshelves for LOs room, we got Pottery Barn Kids. It's great quality. For the playroom we got cheap bookshelves from Target. LO is very rough on stuff, so I don't like to spend a lot of money on things while he is so young.
@sandy: that is really cute! Only thing is it may be hard for your LO to pull the books out while he/she is little. And emptying shelves is my LOs favorite past time.
