Is it too cheesy to name your kids with matching initials? DH and I were talking and are 100% sure that our next child's middle name with either be Joseph or Josephine. Joseph was my late FILs middle name and Josephine is my grandmother's given name (C's middle name is DH's grandma's name). I love the name Caroline for a girl, but that would make our kids Charlotte June and Caroline Josephine.

I don't think it's cheesy; if those names are special to you, the matching initials is just happenstance.
ETA: My sisters and I all have the same initials (5 girls) and it was never an issue for us.

I don't think it is cheesy! If we have 2 girls, I think their first letter will match, but probably not all the initials. However, if I liked a middle name with the same letter, it wouldn't stop me from using it!

i don't think those are cheesy. i knew someone who had 4 girls, named them all names that started with T & ended with A, it was like a mini duggar family. so bad! i think charlotte & caroline sound really nice together when doing the pretend intro in my head =)

I don't think its cheesy...but coming from someone whose whole family shared the same set of initals, it can be a pain. It wasn't too bad until HS when my brother and I were both there. Everything our extracurricular activies gave us had our initals on it, and sometimes we would end up with the wrong bags. (they were identical shape/material. different logos).
We are not planning on giving our children names with the same initals, but if we had names that we liked that happened to have the same ones we wouldn't change them because of it. I personally LOVE the names you picked...so for us we wouldn't bother (it was not that much of an inconvience)

I think if those are your top name choices then go for it. I'm just not a fan of when people really stretch to find names so that their kids all have certain initials.

So few people that they encounter in their lives will even know that they have the same initials. I don't think it's cheesy at all. And just think, you can reuse any monogrammed items that you got for Charlotte : )
Growing up my brother was CCC and I was CEC and I was always jealous of his initials. Well I married some one who's last name is a C and I moved my maiden to my middle so now I'm CCC too. I always tell my hubs I just married him for his name : )

@April_Showers: My family was the same-- I'm one of 5 with the same first and last initial and it was a little annoying that you couldn't just write your initials on things, but very fair from a problem or anything. But, people do tease us and say it's cheesy-- but that's 5, not 2. Plus, Charlotte and Caroline don't start with the same sound at all, just letter. If you love the names, do it.

My brother and I have the same initials! My mom is ACT and my dad is JGT. Then I was born and am AJT. My sister was next and is BAT and then my brother is AJT. Not noticeable at all, and our names (as do the ones you've chosen) sound really different!

@MamaMoose: This is sooo true too. My same brother and I worked at Macy's for years and it took people a while to realize we were brother and sister. Even HR and the woman that would give us our paychecks took a while to put us together...and he refered me for the job.

Me, my brother, my sister, and my dad all have the same initials! Well I did before I got married......but we were all JMK.....my mom was LAK though. She was the odd one out.

I think it's a little cheesy. My DH has 3 brothers and all of their names start with D. Two of his brothers have 2 children with the same first initial. I also have lots of cousins who have the same initials.
I probably think it's cheesier than most because it's common in my extended family!

my two SILs have the same initials, but DH does not. which i think is kinda weird actually that he doesn't have the same initials or even start to his name because he is a twin with one SIL.

Two words: Monogrammed hand-me-downs. (Maybe that's 4 words?) I don't think it's cheesy at all.

Not at all. My brother and I's names rhyme, and it's important for me to do that for our children should they have siblings. I think initial matching is a nice "family" touch!

I think those names go nicely together. They sound very cute together, and match without seeming like you are trying too hard (all four names are classic, solid, pretty names).

I like the names and think they sound good together, so that's all that matters. I doubt many people think much about siblings initials other than themselves and their parents.
