Wait...today is Halloween, is this a trick? It's not April Fools Day right? We all just watched their wedding special! I never thought they would last very long but this is just ridiculous.

Not surprising, but still sad.

Egh. I hate when marriage is taken like a piece of clothing. You don't like it throw it out and get something new.

@blushink, I totally agree. It's such a sham and I hate when celebrities make a joke out of such a big committment.

They really shouldn't mess around with marriage for ratings, their careers, and money, though. All the other stuff they usually manufacture is just silly and mostly harmless.

Well, they shouldn't, but they obviously do. I mean, most of the stuff they do is pretty tasteless. I'm actually shocked that she has to legitimately file for divorce since I was sure their wedding wasn't legally binding in real life, but just a production for the show.

I think it's hilarious. I'm not sad for them at all because it was so obvious all along (at least for the Kardashians-- Kris seemed like a "normal" guy who wasn't in on it) that this marriage would not last.

Yeah, I guess the part I don't understand is that she got married just for a TV show, especially since she already had one failed marriage.

They so only did it for the money, you could see it from the beginning. I tweeted my under/over for their divorce when they were getting married and got slammed for it. I believe marriage is a very serious thing and could tell from the start that they weren't very serous about it at all.
Now that the wedding special is over, doesn't matter if they get a divorce or not, they already got their money. This is why we don't have cable TV - so we can't watch crap like that on TV and, at the same time, support it.

I don't know if I'd paint Kris as the innocent in all this... not that I think the Kardashians haven't been pulling strings, but the parts of the special that I saw made him look kinda like a jerk.
I'd like to think that it wasn't all pre-planned and that 2 people rushed into getting married without really knowing each other and what their marriage would mean. Foolish rather than fraudulent...

Wow. I'm shocked. I never liked Kris though. :T hope she had a pre-nup!

ugh, she's annoying. she kept denying the "rumors" and now she's doing it. what a loser.

I saw this today and immediately thought that anyone who believed their marriage was ever "real" or "forever" was being a bit silly. To me it felt pretty obvious that it was a sham. He was a jerk most of the time and she was a diva. None of the family liked him either. I think they probably thought it would last a little longer than it did but it was clear from the get go that it was over. I think the only reason she didn't file sooner was because she needed to wait for the special to air and her NY show to quit filming.
And they wonder why Obama (or any parent for that matter) doesn't want their kids watching their shows...

I get SO irate when things like this happen. I FREAKING hate crap like this! 20+ carat ring, wedding hoopla, $$$$$, dress, vows, etc, etc...And then 72 days later, divorce!!??! What "irreconcilable differences" do you have after 72 days that you can't sort out? Geeeez.

I just read on TMZ that Kim is divorcing him because he's a fame chaser....how exactly did she make her millions again?
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
According to Kris, she didn't even tell him. He found out through media.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
Ok, now I understand. Someone told me that she made $18 million off this wedding. I wonder if Kris made anything!

@MaisyMay I saw that too, but then I read it's total BS and that he'd agreed to release a joint statement, but then reneged. I'm sure we'll never really know, but I don't think you can paint either party as innocent.
