I am pretty sure you will feel it, just not quite as soon as others.

Thanks Cyndi. I guess ive become slightly bummed because of some sites ive been reading saying some never felt anything strong the entire time and their spouses didnt either. Plus being plus sized makes me wonder too!

I am not positive but I think I had an AP last time and I am plus sized and both me and my husband were able to feel the baby move. I even have videos of my belly moving around

I have an anterior placenta and have still been able to feel lo kick AND DH has been able to as well.
I was a little disappointed that it took a few weeks longer than when I was preggers with DS, especially since they say most 2nd time moms feel baby sooner, but at 24 weeks DH is able to feel and even see baby kick (occasionally) and I definitely feel baby... not just on belly side either but down in my cervix, lower side, etc.
Not sure how far along you are but you should still get to feel & see your lo move at some point =)

@cyndistar3: the doctor didn't tell you? Mine mentioned right away that I did.
I have been feeling her move since about 16 weeks. Its getting more frequent and precise now that I am almost 28. My dh has not felt her yet, though. : ( this is our first as well and I look forward to him feeling her move.

I just found out I have an anterior placenta as well at my 13 week scan. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long to feel baby kick as I'm really looking forward to it! I should probably watch what I wish for though as I have a feeling I won't be saying that come 36 weeks or so!

I have an anterior placenta and I (and hubby) started feeling movement around week 24, and every week it gets stronger and stronger. Mainly it's just kicks I feel.

@His Barista: I didn't know I was pregnant for a long long time so I think it corrected itself before I saw the doctor.

This is our first, and at 36 weeks we have felt the full experience, so I wouldn't worry too much! I felt him move (roll around) for the first time at 15 weeks, it felt like a snake slithering around. After that it got more and more frequent. My husband felt him kick somewhere in the low 20's weeks, I could see the belly move from the outside around 28 weeks. He doesn't kick when people put a hand on my belly, but if I lean against anything he goes wild kicking. So in the evenings I lay on my side and have my husband sit in front of my belly and he gets kicked in the back like crazy. The cats lay next to my belly and they get kicked all the time too. One plus is that I have no problem sleeping, he has not woken me up by kicking once, and a friend without an anterior said she got woken up all the time.

I'm like LemonDrop, and have an anterior placenta and at 36 weeks I feel everything. I started really feeling the kicks around 18 weeks and it hasn't stopped yet. Now I can feel her little foot pressing against my left side and also feel her when she rolls over or even hiccups. You really don't miss out on much, and I think it helps to sleep at night since you won't have all that movement waking you up all the time

Almost forgot- my husband didn't believe me until this week at our dr appt and ultrasound when I would tell him that the boy's butt was poking me in the ribs. He told me I thought everything was a butt- guess what showed up on the ultrasound- a butt. Occasionally I can feel a foot poking out, but for the most part the boy likes to stick them in his mouth, and he is head down- I can tell
Hiccups took me a long while to figure out, it is like a kick, but in a regular pattern, so every 10-15 seconds your belly jumps. I wish I had known that's what it was before, it had been happening for weeks by the time I figured it out. I got a great video of hiccups and kicking movements of my belly.

I feel my LO all the time, and I was told I have an anterior placenta, but perhaps the placenta has moved a bit (not that they actually MOVE, but they can grow away as you grow).

@Nskillet: Apparently I have an anterior placenta too, I was told so today at my ultrasound. I'm almost 19 wks and have only felt a few tickles here and there and one day I thought I felt soft taps. I'm pretty small/petite, too. My OB said she had an anterior placenta, too, and she felt movement around 20 weeks. I kind of am relieved to be honest to know there's a reason why I'm not feeling movement. On ultrasounds though our little guy is a little wiggly worm moving and shaking all over the place.
