What do you have in the center of your kitchen table? We either have a vase of flowers or a bowl with fruit. But, when we have neither, the table looks so empty! Looking for centerpiece ideas!

A seashell or a nice vase/bowl with colored marbles
For awhile I had a Betta fish in a vase as a centerpiece.

@Ginabean3: I like that second one! It's similar to everyone else's ideas but a little different!

Nothing in the center of the kitchen table, because I don't have space to move it to when we actually have to eat there, lol.
I like things that look like they belong in a kitchen, like a giant soup tureen or a display of faux fruits and vegetables in a beautiful basket.

We have a terrarium on our table which I love because its been the one plant I've been able to keep alive!

I'm also thinking of getting one if these for nursery. I love that the vase comes in so many different colors:

We have a custom made bowl that's painted with the design from our wedding invitations. It's usually empty, or has random junk in it.

@swurlygurl: I succulents.
This is what I am thinking for my kitchen table: basically white vases and vibrant exotic flowers. We don't use the table very much, so a bit of height in the centerpiece will not get in the way.

@Bmarch: love terrariums! I made one for our kitchen, but honestly it hasn't stayed as healthy looking as I had hoped. Further proof of my complete green thumb failure

I have an owl candle holder with my absolute favorite candle sitting on it, but it's surrounded by random crap and cat food bowls.
