There seems to be a difference in opinion between my mom and mil.. When calculating baek il, do you count the day of birth as the first day or the following day as the first day?

Hello! We counted the day of birth. At first my dad said we didn't, then he went back and forth, and then decided we did! The in laws also agreed that the day of birth was considered day 1.

My LO was born on a Sunday at 2pm. So I counted the following day as her 1st full day of life.
:T We didn't have a 100il for my LO though (since we live out of state and people aren't celebrating it as much lately).

Interesting that people count it in different ways! My MIL said the day of birth was day 1, but my mom said the following day was day 1.
@chopsuey119: We didn't really do much either, as neither set of parents lives nearby. My MIL sent us $$ to buy our LO a nice dress and a cake and asked us to take pictures. Since my MIL paid for the dress we dressed LO up and sent pictures on the day she considered 100 days, and then just sent the pictures to my parents the following day...haha
