I read about this yesterday morning and I just can't stop thinking about it. It's so very tragic. I can't fathom not accepting my child 100%. The amount of pain, rejection, and loneliness she faced, how unloved she felt--her parents failed her. They are still failing her in death, misgendering her, getting her age wrong, saying it was an accident, and calling her Josh.

I'm not sure why I feel the need to post it here, other than that I think every parent should know about this. I think every Christian parent should know that they will never be able to "successfully" use any type of conversion therapy, and to do so is sheer torture. (I'm a Christian parent, and I could not be more against what her parents did to her.) Leelah was perfect, lovable, and dying for love and acceptance, and her own parents couldn't see it.
