Later this month we are going to the LA area for a family reunion and have one "free day" some people are staying and hanging out at the pool. But we won't be back to the area for at least a few years and I'd like to get out and do something that is unique to the area. Each place is about 1 hour away. We went to Disneyland 2 years ago and the Zoo about 6-7 years ago. What is there for a 1 year old to do at Legoland? Any other area suggestions?

Not Legoland for a 1 year old. Not enough to do. The SD zoo is cool, but there is also the wild animal park in north east SD that is really unique!

Yeah the Safari Park (affiliated with zoo...formerly called the Wild Animal Park) would be even closer. It's cool! I know people have lots of opinions about Sea World, but my LO loved the aquariums at that age and the Polar Bear area is really cool.
