I second Bella Bands.

@kjpugs: I got mine at Target - but to be honest, I didn't really wear it until I was 5 months or so! I was sick my entire pregnancy, incredibly so at the beginning, so I couldn't stand the pressure on my belly. But, I will say I loooved it post partum when my maternity jeans didn't fit properly but I still couldn't close my pre-pregnancy jeans.

I got the one Target carries and wasn't a fan of it. I agree with @shopaholic: full panel pants gave me the best belly shape.

@kjpugs: I got the Ingrid & Isabel Bella Bands from a local boutique. I had tried the Motherhood Maternity and Target brand versions and didn't like them much in comparison to the Bella Band. The fabric clinged and pilled over time with the off brand versions.

It is too tight now at 31 weeks, but I loved my Bella Band for the 1st/2nd trimester! Let me hold off on maternity pants longer.. but once I bought maternity pants I felt soo dumb for going so long without them - they are heavenly!

I didn't like it. It felt uncomfortable. I hear you on the B-shape though. I found that full panel pants really helped with it.

Agreed on maternity pants. My Bella Bands always seemed to roll down or need adjusting, and my pants never worked right with them.

@kjpugs: Hey, I thought of this thread today! Don't know if you got a belly band yet, but I got the BeMaternity band at Target (M/L) and I LOVE IT. I am in love with it. I want to marry it.

@kjpugs: That's what I thought too, but the chart on the back said it fits 14-16. I am more like a 16 right now, too, and it fits me just fine! Helped me look like I have more of a bump and not a beer gut yesterday under a dress, and today I folded it over to hold up my pre-preg pants, and HELLO COMFY. I'm sure it will get snug as the belly gets bigger but it has a lot of stretch.

@chanzi: Mine holds up my pants really well folded over. I'm not sure how far along you are, but you worn it unfolded over your belly (assuming you don't need to hold your pants up, like with a dress)? I was impressed with the shape it gave me while still being comfortable. DEFINITELY better than a hair tie!
