@maddyz: can you change the handles out? Or at least just remove the handle on the bathroom door?

@Littlebit7: ditto your whole post except that we own so we *could* switch the handles out if we felt like spending a fortune. Door monkey has an extra piece you can order that might work for us, but I keep forgetting to order it...but you have to screw it in so I don't know if it would work for renters. Right now, I'm just glad the deadbolts on most of our exterior doors are high enough that she can't reach them, and the one she does know how to open is downstairs and she can't get past the baby gate yet. But it does freak me out, and most of the reviews for the lever-style childproofing things are bad. Ugh.

@catomd00: That's exactly what I was thinking. I have seen childproofing things specifically for lever handles. Our friends have them!

Saw this online, no idea if it works, but my toddler can't open our door that 'sticks' and I think this is the same idea.
"The following method allows your baby to still turn the door handle but should be unable to muster up enough strength to open the door. Unless you are raising little Hercules this method to stop a determined toddler from opening a door.

You will need: a washcloth or similar piece of material

As you close the door, place the wash cloth between the door and the door frame on the same side as the door handle.The door should fully close and the wash cloth stay in place.Test the door by turning the handle and attempting to open the door. It should stay in put without exerting an amount of effort, more than your little one should be able to exert.In order to open the door, pull the wash cloth tight and open the door as you normally would.Tips:
If the gap between your door and frame is larger than normal, you can fold the wash cloth back over itself.Place the wash cloth at a height your little one will be unable to reach it and pull it tight"
