Now that I know the DD enjoys being worn, I want to get a nicer carrier (we've been using a mei tei).
I've narrowed my search down to a Lillebaby Complete or a Tula but now I'm torn. Has anyone here used both and can recommend one over the other? Or tell me pros and cons of each?

The Lillebaby is much more comfortable (in my opinion) and it is a lot more diverse as far as ways that the baby can be carried. I love my Lille!

It's so hard to give advice b/c it's different for everyone! Would you be able to find a local babywearing group where you can try both on? I know in my local group, people def love Tula more. It really depends on your built, the baby, and what you find comfortable!

I don't have any experience with the Lillebaby, but I would try to find a Tula you could try out, even if it's just in store and see if you like it. If you do, I'd for that, purely based on resale alone. Once you're done with it you can probably sell it for what you paid if it's in good condition. Or if you don't like it, you can immediately sell it.
I regret now that I bought a Beco Soleil instead of a Tula. I thought I would like the Beco more and it was ok until I wanted to back carry a 25 pound toddler. So now I never use it and I'll never get back even half what I paid.

@snowjewelz: any idea how to go about finding such a group? I live in the Atlanta suburbs so it's a big enough city I feel like there has to be one around somewhere.

It's just that my local group is SO helpful so that's why I always recommend looking for one! You can try on other people's carriers at meet ups, borrow from the lending library, etc!

This probably isn't helpful as I only have a Lillebaby, but I LOVE it. I find it so comfortable and easy to use!

I don't have experience with the Tula but got a Lillebaby for my new LO and I love it! He is only six weeks old but I have worn him for errands and outings with my older daughter, and it just feels like he is so secure and I am comfortable. I also have the complete and like how versatile it looks for when he gets bigger!
It seems like there is more than one great carrier out there for everyone so you are likely to be happy with whatever you decide.

Definitely try them on!! Lillebaby was so incredibly uncomfortable for me. I have no idea why.

I also have never tried a Tula but love our Lillebaby. The lumbar support is so wonderful and I imagine it will become even more helpful as LO gets heavier.

I've never had a Lillie Baby but I love my Tula(s). I can comfortably carry my 20 month old, 24 lb toddler on my back while being 21 weeks pregnant!

I can't compare but I second finding a babywearing group with a lending library and trying first. I had a beco gemini first which people love and I couldn't get a good fit. I lurve my tulas (all 5 of them, what can I say, I have an addiction).

If it's possible DEFINITELY try on as many SSCs as you can get your hands on before purchasing your own. I tried SO MANY and was convinced I was just "a wrap girl" before I tried a lillebaby and all of a sudden I understood why people actually like them, haha. But each brand (tula, lillebaby, kinderpack, beco, ergo, then you get into smaller brands like Madame GooGoo, Lenny lamb, shiny star designs, fidella... the list goes on) fits differently and it just depends on your body and your preferences
