When I was younger I always thought my mom had a C-section because of the dark, vertical line on her belly. It wasn't until a few years ago I learned it was the linea negra. I've read it should disappear and go away after pregnancy, but my mom still has hers (maybe because she had 3 babies?)

Q: Did you get the linea negra and did it go away?
Do you think it's hereditary and that I'm doomed to have an eternal dark line?
