Anybody else's LO get an elevated temp 99 the day after the flu shot.
LO normally runs cooler ~98.1 so I definitely was able to tell that she was warmer this morning.

Both of my boys got croup the night after their first flu shot. Weird. Low grade fever and a croup cough. Only after the first one...

Just took her temp again and she's 99.5 but no other symptoms.
Maybe it's totally unrelated or maybe it's a side effect?

My younger son runs a slight fever after vaccines and flu shot (right around 100). I usually just give him Advil for comfort.

@winniebee: @sapphire: @yoursilverlining: @travellingbee: tanks for your responses. I'm going to give her some Tylenol. I know it's common after other vaccines but I wasn't sure about the flu vaccine since the pedi didn't go through her speech about the common side effects of vaccines yesterday after the flu shot like she normally does with all the other vaccinations.

@yoursilverlining: @winniebee: about how many days did it take for the slightly elevated temp to go back to normal. Thx

My daughter routinely gets a low grade fever after vaccines although she didn't this year. I just give her a little Tylenol and let her take a super long nap. Her poor arm was sore this year though so she took a warm bubble bath for a while and that seemed to help a lot

@caterw: about how long does her fever last.
I gave dd some Tylenol. She spit most of it back out. We are now about 60 hrs since the shot. About 36 hrs since I first noted a temp. The pedi said she doesn't need to be seen until 3 days of a fever 100.2 but she's only in low 99s

@iluvboba637: mine would often fight a low grade fever for a week after vaccinations. I can't recall about after the flu shot.

@iluvboba637: Usually just a day or two. I would probably take her in if she had the fever for 48 hours even if just to see if they had any more relief options for her! I can't stand to see my baby sick.
