DD (2yo) has not been a fan of public washrooms ever since she was 12 months old and I took her to a particularly noisy one. It wasn't a big deal after that because I would just change her diaper in the car, but now she's potty trained and I don't know what to do. She absolutely refuses to pee in public. She starts clinging and crying even before we get in and saying "no noise, no noise".

We've tried:
-bringing her small portable potty (she will sit on it in the stall but not pee because she's so afraid of the loud noises (the hand dryer)
-bribing her with treats
-distracting her with my phone
-showing her what the hand dryer does and that it doesn't hurt (FAIL)
- taking her into quiet one room stalls (she's still so on edge).

Today we drove home from my ILs, 8 hours with multiple stops. She didn't pee once that whole time. I even put a pullup on her and told her she could pee in that but she said diapers were for babies. She's not a fearful child of anything else so it's so out of character for her.

What do I do?!?! I'm nervous because we are going to Disney World in March and loud, public bathrooms will be the norm... Any ideas?? Is this something she will grow out of as we keep practicing?
