Has this happen to anyone? I try to reposition but lately DD SCREAMS and refuse left boob! She will only take it for night time laying down nursing.

That happened to us. I got in the habit of always starting with the side he didn't like as much (oddly the left for me too!) and he grew out of it after like a week. He still has a slight preference for one side - the side with an oversupply - so I still start with the left.

yup, and sorry to say, but it never went away! I may have been able to push the issue, but it was really straining our relationship after a while so i gave up (tired of being screamed at every time i picked her up!) i now have a 14 month old boobaholic who has nursed one side only since about 4 months old

My LOs have always preferred my left, which is the better producer. They will eat on the right during the MOTN when they are sleepy, but otherwise they just share the left. I just go with it, although it has made a noticeable difference in the size of my boobs!

@Pirouette: good to know that they can florish with just one side since Im afraid she isn't eating enough!
@twodoghouse: exactly this! She doesn't fuss as much or refuse one side MOTN. And I totally did not think about the whole boob size side effect
@LBee: good idea to start with the bad side.
So i was trying different things all day.. Seems like she doesn't like laying on one side? I kinda did football with her on the bad side so she lays the same way she would if she is at the right side. And she took the bad boob! But that was once. We shall see...

Sounds like you already have tried this, but I have this problem in the later evening hours, and I switched positions so he is on his side, next to me, so we are side by side. Any other position he hates and freaks out, I hope this is all a phase.
The only constant is change with these babies!

Hmm so I think this was the after effects of her 2 mo shots still. She seems to be back to normal these 2 days now! Got me really worried!

@snowjewelz: Oh yeah she could have been more tender on that side! LO did that after his shots too, his left thigh must have hurt more.

it happened to me and the only thing that work was the football hold on that side. Also I realized that the flow on that side was stronger so i would hand express a bit before nursing! good luck!
