How old was your LO when they started showering on their own? Did you start out by going into help them at all? Or did you do any checking to make sure they did a good job?

With my nanny kids around 3 or 4 they could shower with just help with hair washing amd a reminder to wash everywhere. About a year after that they just needed a quick check to make sure they rinsed the shampoo out well.

DD is 4.5 and she will shower but doesn't wash her hair well at all - so she washes her body and then I do her hair
DS is soon to be 7 and he can shower alone
