Well, filibuster is there for a reason, but given that this isn't a real filibuster and wasn't designed to change any outcomes, I think it was ridiculous grandstanding.

Besides, hasn't he read Green Eggs and Ham? The main character finds out that he actually likes the thing he thought he hated. The irony was not lost on me!

@Mrs. Jacks: Important question: Do you think he'll like it in a tree, though? I think his entire performance was ridiculous and infuriating. Cruz had no effect whatsoever on the ACA; he did, however threaten the jobs of millions of federal employees by delaying debt discussions/bills with his nonsense. Don't worry, though, even if the government shutdown happens, Congress people like Cruz will continue to collect their paychecks. Freaking ridiculous.
