I would love to find a vintage looking dress for Sienna's christening but I don't know where to look. I love Ruche's dresses but I don't know if they fit well. I love the style of Shabby Apple but heard they are horrible when on. I also thought of ModCloth.
Any tips on where I should shop?

Anthropologie has some really pretty vintage stuff. Kinda pricey but their sale section can have some good stuff and the new cuts happen on Tuesdays.

Ebay is a great spot to find NWT Anthropologie - I think people search for specific styles, so if someone lists just the Anthropologie name.. it goes for cheaper 
I haven't purchased anything from Ruche or ModCloth but agree - I won a dress from Shabby Apple and it was made SO poorly and looked awful on.

Darn, that dress is so pretty! Maybe a crazy idea, but do you know of somewhere near you that you can have it made? Ooooh remember Mrs. Perfume?! Her mom made dresses, maybe they can help you out? I know they had an etsy shop, but I'm blanking on the name.

The reviews on ModCloth are usually pretty positive, and the prices range all over the map, but I think it's a little tricky to find a dress that's long enough (I'm not a fan of mid-thigh, and at 5'6" not petite enough to have them fall longer) - they have a special "longer lengths" section, but it's more limited.

@Mrs. Sunglasses: I've had really good luck with dresses from ModCloth. I've gotten 3 or 4 now and the fit has always been pretty spot-on. Read the reviews on the dress, cuz they'll tell you whether to order your normal size or order up or down. I go with the reviews and have always been happy.

@Boogs: Siennas baptism is in 1 month exactly. So I don't have time to get it made. But I'll deinitely get the dress once my size is back in stock. Hopefully it's really soon so I can get it on time.

@Mrs. Sunglasses: that anthro dress reminds me a little of this dress from target that i've had my eye on for a while...i think it comes in that aqua-ish color underneath, too. i know you probably don't have targets in quebec, but maybe they ship to you?

@Mrs. Sunglasses: nice! it's beautiful in person, too and looks a lot more that $25 worth of dress! they also have it in a pretty tangerine underneath and ivory as well. i have a new rule when shopping to limit my spending and it's if i can't think of an occasion to wear it to, i can't buy it! it's too white for a wedding and a little too dressy to wear to work, so maybe if it goes on sale, i'll snag it!

@Mrs. Sunglasses: I took pictures of that dress for you earlier at Target!!! I was just looking for this thread to post! I took a picture of all the colors, I figured if you hated them all it would probably be easy enough to find someone to remake the under layer for you. I thought the coral was pretty, or the cream would be fantastic with a colored cardigan, jewelry, or shoes. If you have no luck at Target let me know, I'm there often.

@Boogs: Honestly, I'd say yes because I think I've gone to so many stores and no luck. I just don't know if it fits right. I'm a Large. Which do you prefer the ivory of the coral one? I'm torn. I think the ivory might be better overall (i can switch it up with coloured cardigans, or accessories) but at this point I'll take pretty much anything that is available.

@Mrs. Sunglasses: I have good news, and bad news.
Bad news: Went to 2 different Targets today, the first one had none of the dresses. The second one had some, but on clearance and none of the ivory on ivory one in your size. 
Good news: They did have the coral one in your size and it was on clearance, I walked out the door with it for $18 and some change!
