I've been doing a lot of looking around online for gift ideas for my oldest LO. It's crazy how many sale ads there are out there and all of the sales! Our iPad isn't working so well anymore and I'd love to get some sort of new tablet, but don't know if it will be financially possible and/or if it's too frivolous for LO.
Have you thought about what big gift you might get your LO(s) for the holidays? What are you thinking of getting?

@T.H.O.U.: We are thinking of a bike for our 3 year old also since he has mastered the balance bike, now just needs to learn how to pedal. The baby is the hardest for us since he'll only be 3 months old for Christmas!
@Kemma: We have LP farm that my older one still occasionally plays with, they are so cute!

Chloe told us if she could have one thing in the whole entire world, it would be a bakery.
So we are building her a bakery & I'll paint it. DH can etch the plexiglass glass to say Chloe's Bakery on it. Were getting her an easy bake oven to go with it, and my mom got her a cash register to go with it.
IM SO EXCITED I cannot wait to give it to her.

We aren't getting them anything super big (over $30), but my parents are getting them some big things like a bedding set, fisher price little people princess castle and A to Z zoo. We are just getting them several smaller things.

we're not doing big gifts. grandparents and aunts are planning on large gifts, so we're getting DS a couple of wooden toy cars and DD will get an AG bitty baby I picked up during the GMA sale!

A play kitchen. She will be 15.5 months & loves the one at MILS. I found a wooden one WITH pots and pans for $50. I was so excited because I really didn't want to spend more than that but I personally prefer the look of the wood ones.

We're going to DIY a Dress up .wardrobe. I plan to to thrift shop dress up clothes. That'll be DD 1's big gift.

No good ideas yet. Got him the lion king movie and a few books. Maybe will do a bean bag or anywhere type chair. Grandparents spoil and he's getting Kidkraft firehouse from baby bro (due in December)

I would like to get LO1 the Carry Home Dollhouse from Land of Nod, but the website says it's currently expected to ship mid-January! I have no idea what to get for LO2. She'll just be 3 months and we have all of her big sister's old baby toys still.

@regberadaisy: That is a really great idea. In Canada, we had Mr Dressup (kids show) and he had a "Tickle Trunk" with tons of dress up clothes. That's what your gift reminds me of.
LO is getting a play kitchen. I'm reliving my childhood through her. I always wanted a play kitchen when I was a kid.

I think I am going to make a reading canopy/tent for her, one that hangs from the ceiling. Other than that, we'll get her some smaller things, and maybe some doll clothes.

I don't think we will do any big gifts since we plan on moving next year and I don't want to haul more than what we already have. We might get DS1 a balance bike though!
