Did you make a big deal out of your LO's first hair cut and go to the salon or did you do it yourself at home? I am trying to decide what I want to do. I can trim LO's hair myself, of course, but is it fun to make a special event out of it and go to one of those kids salons?

We went to a kid salon and it was a total disaster!! Charlie got himself the worst bowl cut of all time... *shudder*

my brother cuts my nephew's hair. just my opinion, but i think it's a waste of money when they're so young. but if you feel like dressing your LO up, i say go for it.

Bee found a great hairdresser who comes to our home and cuts her hair... and then cuts Charlie's hair for free too! So far, no bowl cuts.

What?! I need to find a hairdresser that will come to my house! My older cousin has her beauty license, even though she hasn't cut hair for years (she actually used to cut my hair as a kid), so she cut his hair the first time. Now my husband does it, he just trims it to keep it from being wild so we see no point in paying someone to do it. We did take pictures and video the first time, though, so we could document it in his baby book.
