LO has had a basically constant runny nose for the week. It's starting to run clear now so I think it's just a cold. But underneath her nostrils the skin is so red and raw from the constant wiping. Any suggestions other than Aquaphor and a humidifier in her room at night? It's been freezing here this week so we've had to crank up the heat in the house which I know isn't helping.

Other than making sure to use boogie wipes and using aquaphor like you already said, no
It sucks! I got to the point where I even just stopped wiping unless it was REALLY bad--it just wasn't worth it to irritate his skin even more.

We are in the same boat! She gets so mad when I wipe her nose.

If the aquaphor isn't working I agree with @Andrea: on the vaseline. Make sure the area is as dry as you can get it before you put on vaseline and that should act as a barrier. Hope M feels better soon!

You could also try coconut oil. I use it when my nose is raw.

When this happened with DDs, I stopped using tissues and boogie wipes and just went for wiping with soft, dry cloths like burp cloths... and I second the suggestion for coconut oil if Aquaphor isn't cutting it. Hope it gets better!

We use Vaseline and also wipe with washcloth instead ... Sorry she's uncomfortable!

I used Lansinoh and a well loved A+A blanket instead of a tissue. Hope her nose heals asap!

Thanks guys! I do wipe with an A&A and I will ask school to do the same. Hopefully the faucet nose will slow down soon.

I've also read that a moist washcloth can be a better alternative to kleenex when the nose is raw.

Try wiping with warm rags! I know it helps my nose
