We do a lot of traveling with our 6 month old and I was thinking that it was time to purchase her, her very own suitcase/duffle bag. Any suggestions out there for some cute/functional/affordable options?

I'd take a medium suitcase and cram her shit in with mine and call it a day!

If you fly, do you buy her own seat (so she gets a luggage allotment)?
I've packed for a week for a family of 3 in one suitcase, I've also brought a suitcase per person, so it kind of all depends!

I usually just put her stuff in DH's checked luggage since he never packs as much as I do lol

Totally depends on where we are going and for how long. I have managed to put a weekends worth of stuff for the three of us into one carry on sized suitcase. For long trips (we did almost 1 month this summer) everyone had their own suitcase, DS's was huge since I brought diapers, mine was carry on sized. For one week, DS and I share a large suitcase and DH has his own carry on sized suitcase. I think I would just by a regular piece of luggage that can be versatile and used for many occasions.

I bought 2 large suitcases when we started traveling with LO. And a large LeSportsac duffle bag, that is usually my carry-on and most of her important stuff. We pack everyone's stuff in as few pieces as possible. If we don't use the duffle, I pack it in the suitcase and it's been really useful to have as an additional piece if we needed to have another piece coming home. It barely weighs anything and fits a lot!
