Because all good decisions are made at 7am. I was going to make mini pound cake bites dipped in glaze in a pretty petit four pan I have. Now I want to make macarons with Nutella filling. Or both. Eep. I'm already making chocolate cupcakes and cookie dough truffles. This is for E's bday next Sat

Are macaroons hard? I am thinking ahead to my kids parties and was wondering about macaroons last night but I know my friend who is a very accomplished in the kitchen even struggled with those. She made some incredible ones too but the trial and error period was high. I also dont have an electric mixer which I heard can make the beating part tiresome and long

Oh I have a stand mixer. They don't seem too complicated, though. I've made meringues and such before

I would make both, but only because I'm a glutton for punishment. Seems like the pound cake might take a little less time (because you're not filling them individually), and its nice cause you've already got a lot of chocolate.

I'm a huge fan of macarons and I would choose them over pound cake any day!
