Sawyer is 19 days old, and his cord base is fully healed, so I figured it is time to swap over to the cloth diapers.
He immediately took a huge poop in the diaper, I am not sure if that means he loves them or hates them (LOL).
They sure look 100 times cuter on his little bum than disposables!

yay! I cant wait to switch to cloth, my LO is 3 weeks + 3 days old but her umbilical cord only fell of 2 days ago so we are waiting for the base to be totally dry and healed before starting to use cloth

@autumnlove: We have a mix of Applebottoms sized pockets, fuzzibunz one size pockets, AMP pockets, and Bomboozles fitteds with covers. I am trying them all out today (switching with each diaper change. So far the Applebottoms sized look much better than the fuzzibunz, but Sawyer is only about 8 pounds, so he has time to grow into them.

@MsMini: yay! I've been cloth diapering since we got home from the hospital and tomorrow Nico is 4 weeks old. (Maybe I'm a bad person for not waiting for the cord stump to fall off? I figured it was about the same as using a disposable and his cord did just fine.) .So nice to have a May baby friend using cloth. We'll have so much to talk about.
I have to say: sunning the diapers really works well on the stains! I waited weeks of not sunning them because it was raining almost every day, or because the timing of when I was drying them just wasn't right (night). But I sunned them yesterday for the first time and was shocked at how well the BF poop stains came out.
My cloth challenge so far has been to figure out exactly what sizing is right for Nico so that they don't leak. What is tricky is that he is also growing, so I'm never sure exactly when to let out some of the snaps. (Oh, I should say that I'm using Grovia AIO newborns with snaps right now. I'll be moving onto pockets when he gets bigger).

We will definitely sun them when the weather co-operates, I have a drying rack, I just need some clothespins, so my diapers don't fly away!

Yay for cloth! FYI, I had to change around the elastic settings on the Fuzzibunz compared to what the manufacturer suggests for an 8-lb baby. I needed to go tighter on the legs and looser on the waist.
