Have you seen this product do you love it or hate it?
I saw it in action at Toys R us and I saw it in all the different modes. I think it looks really high tech but the interior seems really shallow so I assume the baby will outgrow it pretty fast. I dont know if I would buy this for a newborn because its a bit expensive

We got this as a gift and couldn't wait to use it.
Chloe hated it. HATED. I cannot emphasize how much my kid hated this. We gave it another shot every month, but it was a no-go.
As far as size... We kept it assembled until her first bday, and she used to climb in it. She was about 19lbs and still fit in the seat.
We would turn it out and she'd freak!

Yep I had it. Both LO used it but never really seemed happy with it. Just collected dust

My sister bought for us. It sucks and is definitely not worth the money. Our LO hated it and preferred the rocker we had to push manually. It doesn't have enough speeds and is too slow. We'd let her sleep in it without it moving. A waste.

Oh I see.. I'm surprised its slow because it seemed really fast in the store especially in the car mode. maybe because it was empty

Definitely a dust collector, though I did use the white noise feature a handful of times.
Glad we didn't splurge on this. Complete waste. Hanging on to it in case any future kids feel differently about it.

I looked into this but didn't get it because it was so pricy. I ended up getting a cheaper portable swing and I am so glad! They outgrow swings so fast. My friend had the mamaroo and said it just collected dust. Her LO hated it.

I read a lot of reviews of this while doing a write-up for another site. Pretty much everyone says the same as posters here -- pricey, limited lifespan, way too slow.

@Mrsbells: I'm surprised everyone is saying it is slow too. It had a bunch of different speeds when I looked at it at BBB. DH really wants to register for one but I'm just not sure it's worth it.

@MrsH: yeah I know it did seem very fast in the store and had several modes. But maybe because the weight of the baby slows it down?

@Mrsbells: DD loved this.. She had horrible reflux and it was a lifesaver. She slept in it for a few months before moving to her crib. @ 10.5 months she'll still sit in it once in a while.

I heard that it was too slow and I should buy the Snuggabunny by Fisher Price instead. I did that, and LO loves the Snuggabunny. So I never actually tried the Mamaroo, just went on advice of a few friends who had.

@Mrsbells: Charlie is still really young so she likes one thing one minute then hates it the next. This goes for the bouncy seat and the mamaroo. She has napped in it a few times and sat in it wide awake. I keep it on slow because it does seem fast still, I'm sure with time and weight gain it will slow down though, she's only 7lbs11oz.
I found mine on craigslist with the tags still on it for $125. Which is what I paid for our last swing, we needed this swing to be small.

My sister bought a used one on kijiji and her 2 month old loves it. He goes right to sleep in it.
My 5 week old doesn't much care for her swing and would never fall asleep in it, but 5 minutes in the Mamaroo and she was sleeping!
Friends of ours love theirs and their 9 month old has been in it since day 1.
If I could get a used one, like my sister did, I would seriously consider buying one. But I'll take my hand-me-down swing for now.

I think the swing motion is better than the slow random motions of that thing. Seems way overpriced!

I used it for a week when we went to a cabin with family and my cousin brought me hers to use there. LO was 5m at the time and didn't love it any more than he loved his bouncer and other (home) swing. He stayed in it for awhile but it wasn't a lifesaver or anything.
My friend has one but has only used it a few times she says. Every time ive been over, her baby has been asleep in the bouncer (Fisher-Price), never in the mamaroo swing.
I doubt its that awesome.
That being said, i'd buy it if I really wanted it. I'm a big believer in buying what makes you happy (assuming you can afford to).
