Gar! How did I not know about this? LO hasn't liked his mamaroo much and I think the main problem is he hasn't fit in the seat. Has anyone used the insert? He is now almost ten weeks and 24 inches and I am wondering if it is even worth it. Kinda mad I didn't find this sooner!

Had no idea about this either. I wonder if it's necessary with the plush version or if you could use a stroller insert.

@tillma: Have you unearthed any more info about this? I am a little annoyed that I might have to spend another $30 just to make this thing useable in the beginning.

We didn't have any problems with ours, but could you maybe use your car seat's infant insert instead or roll up some swaddle blankets to surround him?

@Alivoo01: Yeah, I was thinking about using the uppababy insert for this purpose. Glad our instincts are the same.

We haven't used our Mamaroo yet but I bought the insert to use with it. I think if you use another insert with it you just want to make sure the straps for the Mamaroo line up with it because they go through the infant insert?

We didn't have any problems with ours, lo loved it since day one. I did place a blanket underneath which may have made it more snug...also make sure you have it on the lowest recline.

I'd skip it. It might not be the insert anyways, my LO hated it no matter what!

DD didn't like the mamaroo at all, so I wonder if that was part of it. I think, at this stage, I would probably just skip it.

This is so interesting because I really want to try this instead of a bouncer or swing! I just don't know!
