Who would do this?! Yuck! I won't even go near a live roach, let alone eat one (the man that died apparently ate dozens). The prize for the winner? A python! Here's a link to the story;

Ewww! Why does this contest even exist?
We just moved to a new apartment and I was cleaning out the cabinets and found 2 dead roaches. I freaked out so much our nanny offered to dispose of them for me. Ha.
I am curious about what actually killed him. Maybe the roaches were ingested a bunch of roach spray? Where did they get the roaches from? Is there a roach store? Ewww!

@mrsjazz: I just read the article and it says all the other people who ate the roaches are fine and they are supposed to be safe to eat because they were "safely and domestically raised in a controlled environment as food for reptiles."

Btw, there's a snake ad that keeps reappearing on various threads and it's totally creeping me out because I really am deathly afraid of snakes. It's reoccurred so many times now that I'm thinking about halting my HB time for today....
