Mmmmkay, need some opinions....

I picked out the name for our baby girl, Harper. DH loves the name too, but since I technically picked it out, he said he wanted to pick out her middle name.

Originally, I loved the name Harper Sophia, but he nixed it because he thinks of Italian when he hears Sophia, and we're both as non-Italian as anyone could be. I tried to explain to him that none of that matters, it's just a cute trendy name, but he doesn't get it, and just insisted he'll pick something out.

So tonight he tells me he thinks he has the middle name. He explained to me that his mom named him and his brothers' middle names after Saints. He thought it'd be cool to do the same thing with Harper, to kind of take after his middle name (his is Michael).... So he came up with Harper James. He thinks it sounds super cool. I was definitely taken aback. It's super masculine, obviously. He said he thinks it's original without trying too hard.

I told him I'd let it marinate a few days. But I don't know what to think. The full name would be Harper James Holler.

I also realize that no one REALLY gives a crap about the middle name, so I'm trying to be more open to it because it will mean something to him to know he picked her name, and to have hers kind of mean the same thing as his middle name.

What do you think? Should I just let it go?
