@lilyofthewest: sorry to hear you are out
@madisonbee: as others have said, TTC is hard and involves so many emotions. I hope you can figure out what is going to work best for you both short and long term. Venting is totally ok

@lilyofthewest: Sorry you're out, but I'm glad to hear your endo appears to be under control!

@madisonbee: Aw sweetie I'm so sorry. Is it just TTC causing the stress or larger issues?

You guys I realized on Saturday that I didn't have my AF/POAS date committed to memory, which is a first for me in 20+ TTC cycles. So maybe I am really more chill than I thought I was! Though last night before bed I looked it up... AF due on Saturday. But at least I made it through the first week of the TWW without fixating! Just five more days.

    @snarkybiochemist: Good luck today!

I'm actually somewhat excited for the blizzard expected tomorrow - I'm assuming my office will be closed. As of this morning we are expected to get 18 - 24 inches of snow tomorrow where I live. Eek

@bizwitch: woohoo good luck getting through the next few days
@PeaceLily: I am hoping for a snow day too, we are in the 8-12 range which should still be enough for a snow day.

CD 12 today and still waiting on the positive OPK. My natural LH must be higher on Clomid since my OPKs have been darker than they usually are leading up to ovulation.
Hopefully soon because I am so impatient!

    @madisonbee: I'm sorry it's been a rough few days
I don't think it would hurt to take a TTC break to get some of those things sorted out. I've learned that having a child really amplifies any stress in a marriage and it's best to get as much as you can sorted out before bring a baby into the mix.
    Hugs!

@mrskansas: Good luck, since I was triggering I never used OPKs so but I would imagine its possible to increase LH given what it does to your body to cause egg production.

@snarkybiochemist: Yep I've done some research on it & it makes sense.
I just want to ovulate soon so hopefully these hot flashes go away! I had a hard time sleeping last night and our room was only 50-something degrees with the window open!

  17. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: The hot flashes for me lasted pretty much all of the cycle. Mine occurred btwn 2-4am several nights in a row. Ovulation did not make all of the side effects go away, unfortunately.

@snarkybiochemist: Yikes. Well either way I'd still like to O so I can stop thinking about it. I'm hoping if I haven't surged today they will do an ultrasound tomorrow to see what's going on in there.

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: Sorry didn't mean to freak you out. Waiting to ovulate is a dreadful time, I hope its soon and that otherwise they will do an ultrasound and blood work and maybe help you along.

@snarkybiochemist: I went into this expecting the worst symptoms possible so I have been pleasantly surprised at how mild they are in comparison to what I read.

Was the trigger shot painful for you?

  21. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: The trigger shot was fine, I have given it to myself all 3 times, a slight itching/burning sensation right after it went in.

  22. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@snarkybiochemist: Kudos to you for giving yourself a shot! I'd have to have my husband do it. I can't even look at the needle when they do a blood draw, lol. I'm a wimp!

  23. dominobee

@snarkybiochemist @mrskansas: Even though I haven't been obsessing over my AF/POAS date and how many DPO I am, I've still been noticing lots of pangs and twinges. I feel like it's impossible not to while TTC!

Part of me feels okay with potentially not being pregnant this cycle, since next cycle will be the Clomid-HCG-progesterone cycle and I'm looking forward to seeing if that makes a difference for us.

@bizwitch: I know you've mentioned it but it's so hard to stay current with this thread. Is this a natural cycle for you?

  25. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@mrskansas: Some doctors have you bring it to your appt and then have the nurse give it to you.
@bizwitch: I always pay attention to every twinge and pang and whatever and its insanity inducing. If this isn't your cycle I hope HCG and progesterone are what make pregnancy possible.

@mrskansas: Yup. Clomid appeared to be shorteningmy LP. Or else I was both ovulating & getting my period earlier which made my short LP more obvious. Either way I'm kind of on the fence this cycle with a likely 11 day LP.

@bizwitch: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I feel so impatient today. I'm tired of always waiting on *something* to happen. Ugh

Thanks, ladies. I didn't see DH this morning since I was heading to work in a rush. I might talk to him tonight about the possibility of a TTC break or just not TTC anymore.

I'm the breadwinner (like, significantly differ in income) so the financial aspect is starting to rear it's ugly head more. Maybe it's because DH has made some annoying purchases lately (still justified, just didn't want them to be bought now). Since he also has a chronic condition, it would put me in a position where I would feel like I'm a single parent a lot of the time.

He was on board because he loves me and I want babies. He doesn't need to have kids, so it's not as big a deal to him. So we need to re-evaluate.

Sooo many pangs and twinges today! It's probably digestive, lol, but it sure is distracting!

  30. snarkybiochemist

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@bizwitch: The fact that our digestive organs and reproductive organs share so much space within our bodies is a major source of frustration for me.

@bizwitch: Pangs and twinges could be a good sign! I try not to obsess over symptoms in the tww, but I just can't help myself.

The month I got pregnant my stomach was very gurgly and I told myself to remember that for the future since that's my pregnancy sign in the tww. Of course the last 2 months I had a gurgly stomach in the tww and wasn't pregnant, so there goes that. I had implantation bleeding last time, so I look for that every month, but I know it's common to not have that for every pregnancy, so who knows.

@mrsbubbletea: @jhd: this is a very unproductive day at work, not only am I waiting on the call we will most likely have a snow day tomorrow so I don't want to start anything

@snarkybiochemist: I would find it really hard to be productive while waiting too! Fingers crossed you get a call with good news soon!! I'm in the south but secretly hoping for a snow day tomorrow (I teach as an adjunct at a university)
