@mtex14: Your TSH level is barely above normal clinicaly, but is not good at all for TTC. It should be bellow 2.5 for TTC. Could you speak to a specialist about getting it under better control? Wouldn't it be amazing if that was all you needed?!

@snowdrop I actually went to an endocronologist specializing in thyroid and women TTC. They upped my meds and I got blood work and got my ovaries checked. She said everything looked good! Just hoping my TSH level goes down! Thanks for thinking of that though! I really think that was the only thing holding this up!

@sarahnicole218: I want to send you and your husband lots of love. I am so sorry that you have to go through so much to have a child. I really feel like its natural for this stud to take its toll on you and I'm sure you both realize that and through this break and more close attention the love you share you will come out on top. I know you will make an amazing momma to your future child.

@littlek: @MrsMcD: @DoxieLove: @Sandy: @Crystal: @AmeliaBedilia: @MrsMcCarthy: Thank you all so much for the love and support. I will definitely not be disappearing, as I have really treasured the friendships I have made on here.

After a nice long talk last night, I will be talking about several options with my OB when I see her next Thursday for my clomid check. My husband wants me to inquire about the IUI option, as that would obviously take a lot of pressure off his role in all of this. When I got home, he said, "I don't want to give up." I have a lot to sort out in my head the next few days, but I still really feel like a break is needed to focus on us.

I will also be asking her about Metformin to try to regulate my cycles during our break without the use of Clomid. Plus, if it results in any weight loss for me, that would just be a perk, since I'm planning to really focus on that for a couple of months. I would love to lose 50 pounds, but starting with 20 would make me happy!

I took one last temp this morning before storing my thermometer away from my bedroom. I definitely have NOT even ovulated, despite the positive OPK, so it seems as though the 100mg of Clomid was still not enough.

Again, thank you for the support...I promise to stop writing such ridiculously long posts on the POAS thread, but I wanted to make sure you all saw this one.

@sarahnicole218: trying foe this long is enough to put a strain on any relationship. I'm really glad you are both putting yourselves first in this and when the time comes I know you'll ebd up with a happy marriage and happy baby. Thinking of you

As expected, today I got my first flashy smiley. I should have a flashy smiley next 3 days and then a solid smiley and positive OPK saturday. The one good thing about my TTC journey is my ovulation date is pretty much clockwork every month. Now, if my stupid eggs would get the message!!!

@littlek: oh, a flashy indicates high fertility? Gotch ya. So, you are close!

@sarahnicole218: *hugs* In regards to asking for Metformin, i'd actually kind of insist. My doctor told me, it can not harm. I went on it and without even trying, weight started to COME OFF, and I was not on it for that purpose, but hey! I'll take it. I also started to feel much better and my cycles went from 60 days to about 33 days. Much better. Last cycle was 28 days, too. So, I 100% believe in it. It did not make me ovulate (it isn't intended to), but it does regulate everything else so that it won't hinder ovulation, and it aids clomid. Clomid + metformin might be the magic formula for a lot of women.

@MrsMccarthy: YES, THANK YOU! I am on a liquid diet and will stay that way because I am kind of terrified to vomit again. And I am on some strong sinus medication,so I think I can get through this until it passes. Thanks for checking up on me

@sarahnicole218: HUGS!!! This crap is so hard on relationships...

I got a positive opk yesterday and today (I'm using cheap ones from Target that are kind of like wondfos). Is that normal? The test line was definitely darker than the control line both days. Does this happen to anyone else? Based on my temps and some cramping, I'm guessing I'm ovulating today, but who knows. It's also kind of early for me, not being on clomid this cycle.

@mrs. tictactoe: I usually get about 2 to 3 days of positive OPKs. Fx!!!!

@sarahnicole218: *hugs* we did a few months of NTNP at the end of last year and it was such a weight lifted off of us! I hope that this break helps you and your husband. It's nice to think about thinks other than TTC for a while!!

@mrs. tictactoe: I usually say the darkest one is my o date.

  19. Miss Sarah

    persimmon / 1259 posts

@CupQuakeWalk: Thank you for your input; my cycles are always over 60 days long, so I think I will definitely insist on the Metformin to aid with regulation and weight loss!

@Mrs. TicTacToe: and @Boopers: Thank you for your support, it really means so much to me.

@mrs. tictactoe: I have gotten more than one day of positive opks on a few times. My box of opks says to calculate O from the first positive. But fertility friend calculates it from the last. So I don't really know. But I'd be BDing nonetheless.

@littlek: What kind of OPKS are you using? Are you using two different kinds?

  21. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: I'm using digitals and wondfos.

    @littlek: Advanced clear blue digitals?

  23. littlek

@MrsMcD: yep. Two different kinds. I'm a POAS addict.

  24. mrs. tictactoe

    blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts

@MrsMcD: What sucks is that yesterday was the first day I used one because I figured I wouldn't see a positive so early, so hopefully we caught it in time.

Since I have no idea how to share my chart, here's our BD schedule so far: CD 8, CD 10, CD 13 (+ opk), and planning on CD 14 (+ opk today) and CD 15. I'm kind of kicking myself for not BDing on CD 12, but my allergies were AWFUL that day. I couldn't breathe through my nose and it was raw from all the snot wiping (ew).

Speaking of allergies, anyone know if taking Claritin is a bad idea while TTC? I remember my doctor saying Zyrtec was ok to take while pregnant, but it doesn't really work for me as well as Claritin. I will obviously stop taking it if I get a BFP, but do you think I should stop sooner?

  25. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@mrs. tictactoe: I think your BDing schedule looks fine. Don't kick yourself for missing a day. Its silly to focus on something you can't go back and change. Maybe just BD an extra day on the tail end.

As for allergy medicines, I'm not much help. But I try to stay away from all medicines during the tww. Although, I don't stay away from alcohol.... sooo... my opinion basically cancels itself out.

  26. mrs. tictactoe

    blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts

@MrsMcD: haha, I'm totally the same way! I don't like taking advil during the TWW, but I will drink wine or beer.

    Thanks for your encouraging words!!

Today I can’t stop thinking about waiting to test. I am only 3dpo but I can’t stop thinking about it- how do you ladies pass the time. Everyone keeps telling oh just don’t think about it but easier said than done!!

  28. mrs. tictactoe

    blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts

@mtex14: I think about it constantly. It's just the nature of the beast, I guess. But the way I get through the TWW without testing early is to pick a date way in advance (right when my cycle starts) and commit to not testing until that date. Last cycle, it was March 1st. This cycle it's March 31st. I just pretend like it's not an option to test earlier than that.

  29. mtex14

    cherry / 111 posts

@MRS. TICTACTOE that is a good idea! I am def going to try that this cycle! It will be hard not to cave before but I am going to try it!

@mrs. tictactoe: I take Zyrtec daily and my doctor has never mentioned it being an issue.

  31. deactivated_account

@mtex14: I'm 12DPO and don't have too strong of a desire to test. I don't have HPTs at my house. I don't have a desire to go buy any. And I just don't feel like wasting money if its going to be a negative. So I plan to wait until after AF (if I get to that point).

  32. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@mtex14: I'm not feeling hopeful this cycle, eventhough it just started, so I'm not anxious to test.

  33. mtex14

    cherry / 111 posts

@MRSMCD you are stronger than I am..usually by 12dpo I have tested like 5xs. It is so expensive so its smart that you are not buying any and saving money!!

@LittleK Im sorry to hear that ..you never know though hoping this is your month!

@mtex14: I am too scared of seeing another BFN to test, works for me....most of the time!

Something really weird happened today. When we were first married, the land lady of a pub who is known to be psychic stopped me and said I was going yo have twins, today a patient grabbed my hand and told me I was going to have 4 children, and two would be twins!

  37. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: Yep! I think in my heart I know we will need medical intervention to get pregnant. Good news is that next cycle will be our first medicated cycle.

    @Snowdrop: OMG.. I hope that's true!!

  38. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@littlek: If you even get to the point of the medicated cycle, I'd bet money that it does the trick. Drink wine and enjoy life as it is until then!!!

@MrsMcD: @littlek: I'm just glad they actually saw children haha I think I'd take triplets at this point

@Snowdrop: Oh gees. I didn't even think about the other possibility! I would die if two people at two different times came up to me and said "you will be barren forever!"
