So I have a charting question - if you don't ovulate do your temps never go up? Just curious

    @sandy: Yay!!!! happy birthday!!!

@MrsMcD: LOL.. you'd hate my office then, Half of the women are pregnant. I told my boss I had something to tell him and he said "are you pregnant", um, no fertility treatment. Thanks boss man.

@sandy: I don't think you get the temp jump. I'm a temping failure though, so I can't confirm. I know I ovulate based on blood tests though.

@sandy: I think you might see a jump, but it will dip down again right away. After my MC before I started clomid, my temps were just all over the place, up and down like crazy. My cycles were super short, too.

  7. Littlebit

    nectarine / 2932 posts

@sandy: they'll spike up and down at different times. Like lots of low days, then a higher day, then back to low, etc.

@MrsMcD: boo...sorry to hear about AF. I like the drinking idea! I know this is unsolicited and may not be helpful (I don't want you to think this me saying RELAX - because F that noise), but the month I got my BFP was also the most I've ever drunk in a one month period. At the very least, it's relaxing!

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@Littlebit: Thanks for the advice. I really want to focus on relaxing this month. I just don't know how that's done. Am I really not getting pregnant because I stressed over my boss yelling at me yesterday or I stressed over making sure my husband had dinner before he left for work? I always think there are more stressed people than me in the world getting pregnant every day. Nevertheless... I want to try become so unstressed that people will be amazed.

@littlek: that's so tough being surrounded by pregnant women

@littlek: That's so tough to have all sorts of pregnant women in your office. How did it go when you told your boss about your upcoming fertility treatments? Is it a lady boss or a guy boss?

  12. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: Definitely consider accupuncture. I find it very relaxing. I also got some meditation CDs, it sounds cheesy but it is relaxing.

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: Guy boss. I think I scared him. LOL. Funny enough, DH opened up to his boss (the CFO of his company) about starting fertility treatments and his boss was very understanding as well.

    @littlek: What meditation CDs?

Also, would you go to an acupuncture person with lots of good references who is in the opposite direction of your house and work; or a person who has one good reference that is closer to your house (but still not entirely too close)?

  15. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@MrsMcD: I went to one closer to my office. You end up going 1 - 2 times a week so convenience is important. I got the Circle and Bloom meditation CDs for IUI.

@littlek: Thanks. I think I will do the same. And I will likely get the Circle & Bloom products as well.

@MrsMcD: and @buttermilk: I'm sorry you ladies are out. I'm still rooting for all of you on this board, and praying your TTC journeys end soon!

@sandy: your temp has to rise, and stay risen for at least three days in a row to confirm ovulation (which is why FF waits and doesn't give you crosshairs right away). And usually you're looking for the temp rise to be around 1/2 of a degree.

  18. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@Littlebit: @Sprite: so I had 4 days of high temps and FF gave me crosshairs consistent with my OPKs. I expected another high temp day but it dipped down at the cover line mark - so not as low as my low temp days following my period but .1-.2 degrees away from my highest low temps. I'm a charting newbie so I don't have any previous charts to compare it to. I just wonder what it all means

Does anyone know if I can share my chart if I do the basic FF app on my phone? Thanks everyone!

    nectarine / 2932 posts

@MrsMcD: I totally understand. For me to 'relax' it meant not looking at social media, lots of alcohol, taking a hot bath several times a week, getting a massage...it wasn't necessarily not getting stressed out at work and at different situations (because I obviously did) but just taking the time to pamper myself. Looking at Facebook and seeing 3 announcements a week was making me very bitter....eliminating that extra stress was great for my mental health.

@sandy: having dips in the TWW can be normal! I would wait to see what tomorrow is like. It will probably shoot back up! I don't know a way of sharing from the FF app besides taking a screen shot and uploading it as an image.

@Littlebit: thanks for your thoughts! I was like "am I out already?!?!" so nice to hear that temp dips can occur during the TWW

@sandy: temp dips of one day are totally normal. It is usually because some people have a second estrogen surge in the middle of the LP. I had a dip in a lot of my charts, and always got my hopes up that it was an implantation dip, but sadly wasn't. That said, I did have a big dip on CD9 right before my BFP. I think according to FF something like 25% of pregnancy charts show an implantation dip, but like 15% of non pregnancy charts also show dips.

@littlek: looks like you'll be having a fun Saturday night

Today is my birthday, to mark an end to an extremely stressful week. DH is opening a business in May. My work situation has gotten so stressful that I know I need to change. I didn't get the job I wanted, but found another prospect that would be lower stress and a four day workweek. With all the stress and DH goin out of town the day before I O, I think this month is next to impossible. I want to wake up in 6 months with DH's business being successful, new job and pregnant. Is that too much to ask?

Just for fun I looked up EDD...you know bc I can't help but obsess during the TWW

-if we conceive this cycle it's 12/3/14
-if we conceive next cycle it's 12/26/14

Anyone look it up and end up with a 12/13/14 EDD? My LO's birthday is 11/11/11 so I would love a 12/13/14 birthday for baby #2 but I'll take any due date in 2014

  34. CupQuakeWalk

    coconut / 8475 posts

@sandy: that'd be such a cool coincidence!! Those cool number birthdays are so fun
I looked mine up and according to my LMP, mine would be:
    11/30/14
but, I did not O on cd14, it was either CD15 or CD16, so my due date would actually be 12/1-12/2.
My OB goes by my LMP unless the u/sound show a SIGNIFICANTLY different date. With LO, I o'd on cd17, and guess what? I delivered him exactly 3 days passed my due date, so right on time!

    @AmeliaBedilia: happy birthday sweetie!!

How are all the ladies in the TWW holding up?
I have been OK, except tonight it kind of got me because a good friend of mine called me FREAKING out and thinks she's pregnant. So, I drove over a pregnancy test (since I have like 20) and she took it and....she's pregnant! I am so,so happy for her. But, now I want to know if I am too. It'll be really fun to be pregnant together because her parenting style is likely to be so much like mine, so I feel like we could share a lot of philosophies. I am antsy now. I think I am 5-6 DPO. I am trying not to test until the 25th though which would put me at 14-15dpo.

  35. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

@CupQuakeWalk: my due date based on my LMP was 11/11/11 with LO and my OB changed it to 11/9/11 based on the dating u/s...but LO was 2 days late and arrived 11/11/11. I'm 5dpo too so we are POAS date buddies :). You are a good friend to drive over a test for your friend. I really hope you guys can go through pregnancy together!!!

@sandy: aw, thanks:) She actually just moved to this town and they left their cars (sold them) in Texas and flew here and just started over after her husband's business tanked. So, she didn't have a car and she was FREAKING OUT (even though they have been trying awhile but of course the one time she is late, that's the one month she didn't have a test at home, lol)
P.S: If you cave & test early, you better tell me the night before!!! I don't want to be the only one waiting what seems like so long.

@sandy: Happy birthday!! And yes, my temps post O are still kind of all over the place, but the average of them is higher than pre-O.

@AmeliaBedilia: Happy belated birthday! I can relate on the stressful job thing. I'm currently at a job that doesn't bring me a lot of joy either. I've started networking a little bit (totally new concept to me) and getting my feelers out there. Good luck to both of us on a new job soon!

@LittleK: Yay on the OPK!! Have fun!

@CupQuakeWalk: You are a good friend! And fingers crossed this is the cycle for you too!

6dpo and brown spotting this morning. This is usually the case before I was taking progesterone but never this early. So discouraging.

@LindsayInNY: are you still taking progesterone? I'm sorry
