@snowjewelz: I am excited to join. It feels like I'm counting down the hours to POAS. My mum and DH keep telling me to chill out which you can imagine is very helpful

@Crystal: I believe preseed helps act as extra CM too since it's sperm friendly!
@Mrs.Lilac: It's pretty cool that your mom is involved too! So she knows you are TTC?

February is a short month. Phew. Can't wait for march and to see how things go for all of us! I've so enjoyed following these threads as I've been trying to spare DH from the TTC details to keep things as sexy and pro-BD as possible, but this morning he declared "we're in the window, right?! This is going to be a fun weekend!" And then proceeded to suggest I cut back on my diet coke consumption over the next couple of weeks just in case. Seems I'm not the only one obsessing! Haha

@Gigi2: Lol, nice. My husband is also totally aware and he is fine with my scheduling and doing his part.

@snowjewelz: yes my mum knows that I am TTC as do my sisters. They have been asking me for years when I am going to have a baby so it didn't come as a surprise. We are very open about that although not about DTD obviously. I told her I was ovulating and she was telling me to 'get busy'. I was like, mum don't say that to me!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Gigi2: it's great that your DH is supportive!
@Jessicadt: welcome! you seem good to go already for your first cycle! On my first one I had NO clue what was happening!
@Mrs.Lilac: haha yeah it gets awkward when she gets involved with that! but it's nice that you have additional cheerleaders!

Hi, im new to this and trying to conceive. I have been trying to find people to talk to that go through the same things. It seems like all my friends just fall pregnant. February was our first round of clomid and im currently in the tww, however I don't think it will be successful this month due to lack of BD during ovulation. Im hoping my march cycle will be the one. Should be cd 1 by march 3rd and start another round of clomid.
This seems like such a great group of people to be apart of! I hope we can all get our BFP soon!

I booked the appointment -- my Mirena comes out on Thursday!
Vacation plans have also been rescued - another friend is coming along, and we should be able to avoid 3rd wheel problems
I'm pleased by the idea of our first weeks of TTC being a mystery. I'll have no idea whatsoever if/when I'm fertile. So, all the sex has the possibility of getting preggers, but, no pressure to perform on any given day.

I will be joining here soon. Just waiting full flow AF to March in first. I expect tomorrow. Ill update the roll call then too. Welcome to a the new bees!

DH and I had just for fun sex today cd 10, before he heads to the other side of the country for two weeks. I should ovulate at the end of this week so, today should be a little fertile day I suppose. We aren't counting this as a cycle trying, as it would be a long shot it seems to get pregnant six days before ovulation!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@dc yoga bee: Hopefully you are in for a shock. Some early ovulation some strong little swimmers...maybe things could work out. I want this on record so if you do get a BFP I can be like "called it!"

@Radish: Haha totally! I just started vitamin b6 for my 10 day luteal phase, and have been reading it DELAYS ovulation! So, I'm thinking of stopping it. Don't want to delay it even more!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
So....if you are taking a "laid back" approach and not temping or using OPKs and aren't really sure about ovulation dates when would you test? My first time off the pill last time around my first cycle was like 36 days and I had a 12 day luteal phase (based on OPKs I did last time around). Just curious what you would do!
We will be in New Orleans for 4 days starting March 10 and basically that would be day 30. I'm thinking if I get no period there then I'll test when I get home....but then again I'll be enjoying champagne and oysters there so there's that....
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@winniebee: Um, I think March 10 is an excellent day to test. But, I'm biased because that's my anniversary! We took the month off, but still got in the first day of fertile week, and will be on a cruise starting March 11. I *think* I'm going to wait until we come back, as I will be enjoying a Mai Thai. I have no clue what that is bc I don't drink, but I plan on drinking one! Good luck!
pear / 1697 posts
@WinnieBee: Since I have absolutely no idea whatsoever about when/if I'll be ovulating (first cycle post-Mirena), I'm probably just going to start taking pregnancy tests every 3 or 4 days beginning about two weeks after I start having unprotected sex. I'll just keep that up unless/until I get a period or a positive.
Seeing that written out does not look especially "laid back" after all. But, bah!, it is what I'm doing.

CYCLE DAY: CD1
EXPECTED OVULATION AND POAS DATES: March 9-14 depending on how the b6 and vitex works, then POAS anytime between March 24-28
CYCLE #: 3
HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR AND WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO TRY THIS MONTH: Educational. I am still nursing my son who will be 18 months old on the 7th. I thought it would be a breeze to get pregnant again because i had a cycle and heard of so many getting pregnant while nursing. I didnt realize the amount of nursing and quality of the cycle was so important. I do have a cycle and appear to be ovulating but i am ovulating 3-5 days later than i used to and having a 6-8 day luteal phase. I am hoping the a combination of vitex and b6 plus drastic day weaning will help me to regulate and become pregnant within the next few months. Initially i was worried about time passing because i am 37 in june and i had a test indicate that i may have low ovarian reserve but i feel like i want to give my son a couple more months before i fully wean him. I also plan to try to temp this month. it's hard when you co sleep with a toddler but i think it is going to help to have a better idea as to my ovulation.

@winniebee: I am in the same boat, we are taking this month off from IF meds and such I am just basing it off of a normal 28day cycle and going to test 28 days from CD1 which was 2/7 so I am testing 3/3 :)))) best of luck to you!!!!

@dc yoga bee: Yum Mia Tias are good!!!! We are cruising too in March!!!!!!

@luv2beamom: welcome! You are not out till AF so there is hope!
@winniebee: my 1st TTC cycle when I didn't do anything, I did t test just bc AF came on time. Plus I didn't have much hope since I had no idea what was going on!
Are we in agreement that CD10 is a good time to start OPKs? My last two cycles are 27 and 31 days.

CYCLE DAY: 11
EXPECTED OVULATION AND POAS DATES: not sure about ovulation but POAS 3/8 or 3/9
CYCLE #: 1? (NTNP)
HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR AND WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO TRY THIS MONTH: DH and I unexpectedly decided to NTNP this month and I realized we may have BD during the window. I am alternating btn excited at the prospect and nervous since it'd be a little sooner than I had planned for a BFP. I guess we will see if it was meant to be!

CYCLE DAY: 19
EXPECTED OVULATION AND POAS DATES: O - 20-21 (positive OPKs today/yesterday
poas - 3/7 (CD31)
CYCLE #: 7
HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR AND WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO TRY THIS MONTH:
I used to be so worried about preventing pregnancy, that I sort of thought I'd get pregnant as soon as we pulled the goalie. After no luck on the first month, I really started researching TTC and realized I knew nothing about how my body works
This month I'm hoping to pinpoint exactly when I ovulate and DTD with good timing. Trying to keep my hopes up, but passing the 6 month mark for trying was tough for me .(although I know it's pretty standard to take 10-12 months, and that many others here have tried longer).

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!
@snowjewelz: thanks, I know and ive taken a couple tests, but im pretty sure im still too early. Im only 9dpo. I have sore breasts and moody, but that could be my af wanting to come on. I usually get really bad migrains the week before my af, but it hasnt happened yet. Im trying to stay realistically positive.
Has anyone had a problem with DH getting a little "stage fright" when they found out you were ovulating? Im trying not to put too much pressure and make it fun, but theres only so much I can do.

Welcome to all the new bees!!! I'm waiting to join this board as I don't know POAS date, but will be a cheerleader no matter what!!!
@luv2beamom: TOTALLY. He def had an issue, even though he'd asked to be told when DTD was for O. As a result, this cycle he wasn't told:-). If I'm not preggo this cycle we will be talking about lots more BD during mid-cycle, but I don't need a repeat of "stage fright" so......
olive / 65 posts
@Chicalgobee: He did the same! He wanted to know at first, but now he told me to not tell him next month. So....I really hope that works this time around! Its a little frustrating! I hope it works for you this time also!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@dc yoga bee: sorry this cycle's timing doesn't work with his travel:-(. Are you using the fertility monitor anyway just for data, or taking the month off?
nectarine / 2465 posts
@luv2beamom my husband did too! I thought we would just bd every day and have it covered, but I guess it's not as easy for men

@MrsMccarthy: I'm so bummed that you have to join us on the March boards. But hopefully March will be the month for us both!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
So my temp was slightly up today (97.6 today, was 97.45 the past two days), but I'm thinking it's probably because I'm sick (had a stomach bug last night). Plus it doesn't really seem like a temp spike, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Planning to BD tonight (though Hubs already seems sick of EOD, ugh)!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@luv2beamom: For the last 2 cycles, I didn't know for sure when I was ovulating... This cycle I'm going to use OPKs so I really hope DH doesn't get too stressed out!
@Adira: Oh no! Good job for keeping the EOD up though! I'm gonna have to start that soon...
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@winniebee: We aren't using OPKs or temping. I usually wait until my period is late to test. So, if you normally have 28 day cycles, then test on the 29th day.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: this is my first cycle off the pill though so I don't know how long it will be! Last time going off the pill it was 36, then 40, then 32, then mc, then 45, 35, 32, 28 or something. So I really have no idea. I had what could have been ovulation cramps yesterday and have some today but that would be a little early for that, particularly for first cycle off pillt. I do know I have a 12 day luteal phase or at least did before getting pregnant with Tyler.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@winniebee: What CD are you? If you are having O pains, then maybe test in 2 weeks? I honestly had never heard of testing before a missed period until joining HB.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: hahaha I never heard of ovulation kits or testing early until weddingbee!
I tend to have period type cramps when i ovulate (or did before Tyler!). But it could just be post birth control adjustments. I'm CD 14. We BD on Saturday afternoon but not yesterday and probably won't be able to today since dH will work late. 2 weeks from now is the day we leave for New Orleans!
