I took 4 months off the first time and I want to take 6 months for any future babies. All unpaid.

I get 12 weeks paid plus and PTO I have accrued for this one. I'm actually considering being a SAHM after number two (as long as we have moved back home to Mass by then where I have friends who are also SAHMs).

I took 16 weeks off, 12 of it was paid. I will probably try to take the same amount with #2. Definitely taking 12 weeks though.

Same time! a full 52 weeks (50 weeks mat leave + 2 weeks vacation)

I had 6 months off with my first baby and 3 months off with #2. Both employers were prestigious NYC hospitals, but the second (with less maternity leave) was more prestigious. I'm grateful for the time they gave me, but it was basically me using all my vacation and sick days. Everything else for the rest of the leave period was unpaid. I ended up being a SAHM after #2 though.

I took 8w with my first (all paid thanks to PTO) and plan to do the same this time around, although this time might not all be paid because I haven't been able to store up as much PTO. My company (I could take upto 12w under FMLA but only get paid for it if I use PTO).

I am taking 12 weeks, 6 paid, 6 unpaid. I would do the same the second time around.

I took the 12 weeks FMLA, but only 4 was paid (vacation only, no paid leave with my job.) We started saving as soon as we found out I was pregnant to make this possible. I knew this was the only chance I would get to stay home with my first child, and I wanted to use every minute of it.
