I think around 16 weeks? I probably could have held out longer and just used the belly band, but I was excited to break them out

About 14-15 weeks pregnant. I love the Gap underbelly jeans. I didn't wear maternity work pants much because I held out until it got warm to wear maxi skirts.

Man, I feel like a fatty! I'm 8 weeks, and I'm contemplating starting to wear maternity pants.... My regular work pants and jeans are just getting really tight and uncomfortable!

@MrsBrewer: Go for it! They are so much more comfortable! I think I did around 10-12 weeks? Not sure, but I should have done it earlier!

I wore them early, 9 weeks. Pregnancy #2 (now) I broke them out at 6 weeks. Yikes.

I'm 31 weeks and I haven't purchased any yet. I just wear yoga pants, leggings, and maxi skirts/dresses.

@Mamasig: I think I might start switching out some of my pants truthfully....I think I would rather be comfortable!

i'm 16 weeks today and just started wearing them to work. but i bought them REALLY early, like 5 weeks maybe because i was SOOOOOOOOO bloated. but then at 6 weeks my morning sickness hit and i ended up losing 12 lbs in the first tri... so all my regular pants fit again. they've just not started to get way too uncomfortable. but if i hadn't been so sick and lost weight i definitely woulda started wearing them early!!! life is too short to be uncomfortable, i say.

@MrsBrewer: ain't no shame in that! Just think of it as you'll be getting more use out of them! I pulled out my belly band yesterday at 7.5 weeks.

I'm 21w2d and wore my first pair today!! I've been wearing my normal work pants but unbuttoning them

I think 15 weeks but I can still wear my regular jeans so lol I really have no reason to wear them other than I enjoy not having to zip up pants.

@MrsBrewer: Do it!! You won't regret it. I never felt very "put together" the times I tried to wear my pants undone with the belly band. I always just felt like I had forgotten to zip my fly! Just think of it as getting more use out of them.

@My Only Sunshine: LOL!! Yes! I've used the belly band twice so far, and that's exactly how I felt! It stays on nice, don't get me wrong, but it just weird not to have my zipper zipped, or my button undone!

I bought some maternity jeans really early, like 7 weeks. I was already bloated from the IVF and the belly band was too tight - made me even more nauseous.
I'm 12 weeks today and I feel like my bump has been about the same for a few weeks, but I'm wearing maternity shirts now cause they are more flattering.

8 or 9 weeks. I hated the belly band. I could still wear some normal pants till later, but my work pants just weren't comfy.

@MrsBrewer: I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm wearing maternity trousers right now
ETA: and they're comfy as hell! My work pants were digging into my tummy yesterday and I have to wear my shirts tucked in so couldn't really have them undone

I'm 20 weeks and still in regular pants, but they are getting a little snug. I went shopping for some maternity pants for work but it was a bust- finding flattering pants is hard enough in everyday life, and being pregnant AND petite is proving to be a challenge. Maybe I will just stick to leggings and dresses all winter?

Never! My jeans were low rise, so they never bothered my belly! I did have to switch to my size up fat jeans after the half way point, though.

I started rotating in a couple of pants during week 7. I also got some maternity tanks to wear under regular shirts since they were on most "must buy" lists, I figured I would get my money's worth! Do I need the maternity pants? No, not even at week 10, but they are so much more comfortable and having less pressure on my abdomen is good with the bad morning sickness I've been having!

I started wearing them at 12-13 weeks. My normal pants are mostly corduroys and heavy twill. If I wore more tailored pants, I probably would've been more comfortable switching to maternity a week or two earlier. If I were more of leggings, yoga pants, and stretchy (or super low rise) jeans wearer, I'd still be in my regular pants all the time now (14+wks).

I think 10 weeks or maybe earlier! I'm thin and I wear my skinny pants pretty tight! I just got some low- and stretchy-waisted pants and they are gar-reat!

8 weeks. you're gonna wear them anyways....they're so comfy. i don't really wear stretchy pants otherwise so they didn't give at all!

I started wresting them at around 16 weeks? I used a belly band before that. Next time I'm just going to start whenever I feel bloated, they are too expensive to only wear for 6 months!

Around 14 weeks, I had tried before, but the band wasn't staying up.

Not till much later b/c I got a BFP at the end of March, and when I started to show it was summer and I mostly wore dresses so I didn't start wearing maternity pants really till 3rd trimester!

I think I held off till 20 weeks and it was probably 24 weeks or more before I couldn't wear my regular jeans (+ belly band) anymore.
I am super cheap when it comes to buying jeans so I hated the idea, but I did splurge on 2 really nice pair that I love and get lots of wear out of them.

I was uncomfortable in my regular jeans by about 10 weeks. I had some really stretchy pants I could wear comfortably for longer. I started wearing only maternity pants around 14 weeks.
