I put on my stretchy workout pants to go to the gym today, and realized that they were getting uncomfortable in the waist. I can't find any maternity "active" pants that aren't yoga pants. Those are too loose for me - any ideas??

This has been a real challenge for me! There is a little bit of stuff online, but it is super pricey. I usually just do cheap Old Navy maternity leggings (which are black, thick, and like $14) and a big t-shirt. I miss my nice workout clothes!

I wore a bigger size in Old Navy's non-maternity walking pants - they're similar to yoga pants but fit just a little bit looser and aren't skin-tight. They have a foldover waist, so it was perfect to fit under my belly as it got bigger. You could also raise the material up over your belly for more support.

I wore Gap maternity yoga pants and they fit tighter than the other pants.

So you want capris or tights, I guess? This site has some: http://www.fit2bmom.com/
I don't like pants and only wears shorts (and non-cotton. I hate the way cotton chafes) so I'll probably just try to go up a size or two. Destination maternity has some, too.

I finally found an awesome pair of workout pants in the maternity section of Macy's. They are sort of like yoga pants (in terms of material) but they are cropped (I think above the knee, but I can't quite remember),... and not as tight as leggings. They are super cute and comfy. I folded the waistband over so they go under my belly... I'm not sure if that's how they were intended to be worn, or whether they were designed to be mid-belly (which I hate).

I used non-maternity yoga-ish pants from Kohl's my whole pregnancy. They were stretchy and had the fold-over waist so I just pulled it up over my belly as it got bigger. I still wear them all the time around the house post-pregnancy, and they are a little stretched out but still workable.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies. I currently wear a not-quite-spandex pair of capris so I'd love something just as tight and cozy. I'll have to look around and try different brands!

Something like these? They say yoga pant, but they don't look like it. http://www.amazon.com/Motherhood-Maternity-Belly-Jersey-Cropped/dp/B007J261KA/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1345987312&sr=1-2&keywords=maternity

@mrs. bird: I might be able to make that work. Ideally, something like these http://www.titlenine.com/product/119673.do?utm_source=SSIDE&utm_medium=NaturalSS&utm_campaign=SSIDE#.UDoqfYl5mc0
