@MaryM: That is good to hear. I don't think anything we get will turn out bad, it is just mourning the loss of my mental image of what our family will be like. Plus I want a 3rd after this and I don't want to drag out my time as a SAHM.

@Radish: I'm so with you on the whole worry on child spacing. Lo is 21 months today and we've been trying for #2 since he turned 1. Unfortunately it just hasn't happened for us yet (probably because I'm still BFing) and each month I mentally go over all the different spacing scenarios over and over.
We'd also possibly like a 3rd and being a SAHM forever wasn't completely what I was going for.

@Keppa: and
It is nice to not be alone... but at the same time I wish it had happened for you already.

I'm starting to get nervous. How am I going to be able to wait until the 15th? (I absolutely won't test earlier than that.) But if it is negative due to a later O, I can't test until after the 20th, because I want to be able to tell DH immediately, and we'll be on opposite sides of the country then. But I expect AF around the 18th (stay away you crazy B!) so I guess I'd sort of know anyway.
I think I'm getting fertile CM (I've never tracked that before) so we'll get our bases covered for the next couple of days and then sit back and hope. Poor DH, lol!
Was imagining having two kids scooped up in my arms as I was rocking E to sleep this evening. I think my heart would be near full to capacity.

Thanks all for the congrats!!!! I've taken 5 tests (2 digi) and had lots of confirmation now!

Morning all! It's my official POAS day, but the FRER I took is super stark white negative.
But my temp went up .3 when I expected it to drop today (if AF is indeed arriving). So I'm more confused than ever!
I started a separate post on it because I knew it had the potential to go TMI and didn't want to gross anyone out with my talk of fluids

@Espion: waiting blows! I feel ya.
@MaryM: just posted over there. Sorry about bfn. Hope it's just precursor to bfp!
I am finally 1DPO and although I'm not feeling optimistic for this cycle I am still very happy to finally be out of ovulation limbo. I hope it's headed for you too @Radish: I know that annoying feeling of waiting.
Last night I felt nauseous and for a minute thought maybe something was happening and maybe I even O'd earlier than I thought but very quickly came to my senses. I will be testing on May 18th If make it that long (short LP usually means I don't). Good luck ladies!

@MrsMccarthy: Thanks. I guess I won't know really if I am in my TWW this cycle, since I'm stepping away from the OPKs. Glad you are, though!
I had some spotting again last night (prior to any BD) that lasted about the same amount of time as what I had 4 days ago. Hoping this time it is actually an indicator that ovulation is imminent or I already ovulated.

Positive OPKs yesterday, negative this morning, so looking right on track. Hopefully temp will be spiking tomorrow and bring on the TWW (and yummy candied pineapple core). Staying positive about this cycle.

@HellOnHeels: Boo.
Ladies, what does ovulation feel like for you? I have never, ever paid attention, but this morning I had a crampy, achy pain just to the right of my left pelvic bone. It lasted about 3 minutes. I wonder if it could have been it. I've had fertile CM for the past two days.

@HellOnHeels:
@Espion: To me, it feels like a sharp cramp (not dull like AF cramps) that's only on one side right around my pelvic bone on one side.

@HellOnHeels: aw I'm sorry honey!
@Espion: I *think* it feels like a mild cramping on my left side but I never had mittelschmertz before having my son so I can't be sure. Seems to correlate with ovulation though.
@Anya: thank you for updating!

@MrsMccarthy: @MaryM: Ooo. Ok, I think that's sort of what I was feeling. It may be my mind playing tricks on me, but we'll see. We actually BD this morning, so either I'm cramping because I don't exercise enough (lol!) or we have impeccable timing!

@HellOnHeels: Good luck next cycle!
@Espion: I have never been aware of it. Don't know if it isn't noticeable for me or I just assume something else is going on.

@Espion: Some people get pains a few days before, during or even after. I have noticed that I am getting pains on one side for the past few days. I know you can have cramps for no reason so I am not sure. I usually know when I have O pains because it is super obvious and sometimes kind of painful. I am on cd 13 and still waiting for fertile CM...come on body!

@Espion: I don't feel anything. But sounds reasonable to me.
I am feeling pretty negative about this cycle. (MILD) illness + travel + moving into a new place... I have no idea if I even ovulated yet. Aaand I might be kicking myself about not using OPKs. We've been trying to "cover our bases" and dh's schedule has been ridiculous and it may have been easier this cycle to just know when the right time was and look forward to then. Hopefully next cycle is more relaxed.

CD8 is here, and I'm commencing opks and CBE Advanced. I've informed sweetheart that I'll need some semen at least EOD starting tomorrow until ovulation is confirmed. Once I reach the point of looking for o I feel like I'm actually doing something. CD1-7 just feel like gross and crampy waiting.
I'm feeling a bit more hopeful this month because I should be ovulating from the left which is the "good" side. My right ovary is not really in the right place. I had emergency exploratory surgery and ultimately an appendectomy when I was a kid and righty didn't get put back in exactly the correct place, so, I have no idea whether it is functionally connected to my uterus.

I'm officially out of the running for this month. AF finally came on the day I left for a business trip. How annoying! Onward to June...
Good luck ladies!

@Tam: awww I'm sorry!
@googly-eyes: Best of luck honey! It aint over till it's over. Though i feel the same for this cycle.
ALL i really am hoping for is a longer LP! I would love for any bleeding or spotting to wait until 10 or 11DPO the earliest. I am doubtful even that will happen much less pregnancy but I'm saying a little prayer because i really would love to see my cycles improve in a more valuable way before we fully wean. Here's hoping.

so this is probably not the board to post this question in (since we're mostly still on the first end of this question).
but..I noticed in months past, just from times DTD, that after ovulation my cervix became almost absurdly low. I believe I ovulated this past Saturday (5 DPO or so?), but it's still so high it's almost impossible to find (which hey, works out better for DTD!).
Is this normal? I googled and it said that can indicate that you're still fertile. Uhhh. Go figure the first cycle we start TTC my body throws a wrench in!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@sorrycharlie: hahah look at little miss Grossed out by cm talking about her cervix??? heeheheh . CP is kind of weird and really varies from person to person. That's why they make it secondary. It will take a couple of months to really know your own patterns. That said I have also read that high and soft can mean pregnant! So I will have my fingers and toes crossed for you that you will not have to find out. Are you using anything else, temping, opks or dare I say CM to figure out your fertility? If so I would rely more on those than CP. good luck deary!!!
