I'm getting irrationally worried that we missed our timing this month. Oh well, this isn't my timing at work here...

@sorrycharlie: I have no idea about high/low cervix, but I seemed to notice (TMI) that I "felt" it a little more when we BD'd during my presumed peak fertile time. So it seems it might've been lower then.

  7. raspberries

    pear / 1955 posts

@sorrycharlie: I've also heard that means you could still be fertile, but I've got no real-life experience determining that, so... I'm really not much help, haha. I guess you could just keep DTD? Can't hurt! And you're not alone - CM talk is not my fav part of the TTC boards, but I deal with it for the camaraderie!

  8. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@Espion: ugh, I know what you mean. I don't think that's TMI. I avoid DTD after ovulation for that reason - kinda painful!

@raspberries: ha true! glad i'm not alone. I am not super into TTC yet (first cycle on baby #2, so kinda just floating along) so I sort of feel out of place since I'm not charting, temping, CM, etc etc. I follow along but feel awkward posting.

  9. Espion

    pomegranate / 3577 posts

@sorrycharlie: Don't feel awkward posting, or I'll tell you about the time DH and I bonked our heads together while bonking and totally killed the mood, ha! I'm not temping, tried OPKs but consider them a waste of $20, I've never even heard of tracking CM prior to HB, and I'm basically hoping to get lucky. DH, on the other hand, is exhausted! I almost wish I had the innocence of my first (or actually second) BFP!

  10. googly-eyes

    GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts

@sorrycharlie: I have no idea about that but after months of 29-31 day cycles I believe Im only now gearing up to o...on cd 21 the month we start ttc. It's silly but it's bumming me out a little!

@Espion: Oh my gosh, this seemed SO much simpler last time when I had only a vague idea of o and cm and didn't know what a LP was! I always knew we were lucky to conceive on our first cycle last time but I took for granted how lax we were!

  11. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@sorrycharlie: you shouldn't feel akward. A lot if people on here go with the flow at first. I will say this though it can be harder to be chill when on these boards. Not that I could quit them because I can't!

  12. NerdBee

    clementine / 828 posts

@sorrycharlie: hi! I don't think you need to feel awkward. I think we all have different levels of knowledge for different reasons. I don't know anything about OPKs so I don't contribute to those discussions. The only reason I know about charting and cm is because that is also my method of bc. But I learn a lot about things I don't know by reading these threads.

  13. MrsStar

    nectarine / 2994 posts

Can I get my POAS date moved to may 19 please? I used opks this month and believed I o'd on the 5th so sitting here at 4dpo twiddling my thumbs! The 2ww sucks.

  14. raspberries

    pear / 1955 posts

@sorrycharlie: I feel ya. It's my first cycle TTC too, so we're just taking things as they come for the next few months. I think I have a personality that would obsess a leeetle too much if I was temping, charting, using OPKs, etc. so I'm avoiding it unless we have issues conceiving without.

  15. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@sorrycharlie: Oh no, I am so sorry! Was just laughing at her turn of phrase, not you at all. I totally respect that some people don't want to hear about this stuff which is why I post on the TMI board. I know many bees would rather not read about CM while checking out the boards during their lunch. Sorry for the confusion, sometimes it is hard to convey things in writing.

  16. simplyfelicity

@MrsStar: Fingers totally crossed for you!

  17. sorrycharlie

    hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts

@Espion: hahaha! that sounds awful. we slammed heads ones, but we were like..19. so we laughed. I think we may have been drunk too.

@MrsMccarthy: @NerdBee: @raspberries: haha thanks!! I'm generally not the type of person to really hold back, but I guess I feel silly when I have nothing constructive to add to the conversation! lol.

@simplyfelicity: haha! no it's okay, it's kind of funny that i'm on a ttc board and get grossed out! but honestly, it's not even the "fertile cm" it's when it's described with adjectives...ya know, like moist/sticky/pearly/luminescent ..LOL. exaggeration, but

I feel silly commenting to people about their charting/cm/etc cause I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. and I feel like I don't have much to add, since I'm not doing anything on this end, haha! I just don't wanna be that person that shows up at the end of the month to announce a BFP (maybe) without having gotten in with everyone.

but glad no one thinks it's weird if I randomly post! I promise I'm reading along and cheering everyone on...I just feel like I'm reading french when it comes to charting!

  18. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@sorrycharlie: Ok, good! hahaha! I try to keep it pretty tame as I totally understand that the adjectives make it worse!

I just peed on my first OPK! So here begins the questions...!

Does anyone ever get stark white negatives with wandfos? I had a faint line, but I'm just wondering if I would get the faint line any time of the month or if this means I am getting closer to a surge because there was a line. Thanks!

  21. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@As Time Goes By: As far as I know, you always have LH in your system it just depends on how much

  22. As Time Goes By

    apricot / 346 posts

@simplyfelicity: yeah, I'm wondering if the average person's LH level during not high fertility time is enough to register on a wondfo... Off to google!

  23. HeartAbandoned

    clementine / 933 posts

@As Time Goes By: I pretty much always have a faint line on my Wondfo OPKs, no matter what time of month. But once LH surges, the lines are the same darkness, or the test line is darker than control. Then they fade out and are really faint again. GL!

  24. As Time Goes By

    apricot / 346 posts

@HeartAbandoned: thanks! That's exactly what I was wondering about. I should have just started testing last week, but I was being cheap!

@MrsStar: This is how I'm getting through the TWW. A small glass of wine totally helps. (Yes, board books make fabulous coasters.)

  26. googly-eyes

    GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts

@MrsMccarthy: thanks, sorry I missed your comment before! I so want to be one of those people who say "and I so thought I was out" but I really do think I'm going to be a rollover. Not heartbroken, it's just month #1, but I find it hard to ignore things like cm now...these boards are bringing out the crazy in me (though I will try to keep it tame, at least for a few months!)

  27. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@As Time Goes By: I don't always have a line. Maybe a super squinter but I know it can vary and a positive has to match control. I take 3 a day around O.

@Espion: that looks so good! I need one of those tomorrow! 3DPO is such hell!

@googly-eyes: yeah, I was symptom spotting out of the gate. I hope you are proven wrong!

Just when I think my body is as screwy as it'll get....

I'm out. I'm not sure what really happened yesterday, but I'm guessing I had all of AF at one time. It's even more gross than CM...so I'll leave it at that (I did fill in my mom, who's with me and who's a nurse).

So, good news, I've finally stopped bleeding. But I'll be calling the dr when I get home because something is not right!

  29. sheskrafty

    persimmon / 1165 posts

@MaryM: Sorry to hear that! Hopefully the doctor will have some answers for you.

I am hopeful but not too confident about this month. I O'd 4 days early and only BD'd on O day (3 days before and 2 days after). I missed my LH surge and never got a positive on my digital OPK. It is all my fault because the last time we TTC we would start BDing too early and get burnt out by the time I O'd. I didn't want to make it too stressful right away so I was pretty lax on the whole BDing. Oh well - it only takes one time! My temps are up so I'm just thankful I O'd at all.

@MrsMccarthy: thanks! It definitely wasn't a squinter, so I think my levels are slightly elevated... We'll see!

@MaryM: oh no! I'm so sorry you're out and that you've had such a weird cycle. Glad it's over though and now you can look into wtf happen. I hope you get answers with easy solutions that lead to your BFP this coming cycle.

Losing my little mind over here. The only thing worse than being only 3DPO is being on like CD3. But somehow it's easier to get through the latter. I hate that some part of me still wonders if I might be pregnant despite my feelings that this cycle was such a wash. I hate having hope and wanting to be proven wrong. It makes the dissapointments so much stronger. Especially if I get another sucky short LP. Ugh.

I totally wasn't even planning to POAS this month because we only on a wim decided to skip protection this month... Well I just had a feeling and today, AF was due and didn't show up and I got this:

I'm pretty much in shock. I totally did not think that we'd get pregnant on our first NTNP cycle... I'm still nursing my 13m old so I thought it would probably be awhile. DH keeps joking that I shouldn't be surprised, what was I expecting if we don't protect We’re super happy though and really excited for LO to be a big brother.
