Where the (off) light switch is located...
Because the lights are always on when I come home 
Both DH and I had business trips last week. He left for the airport after me, but I returned home first. THREE Days lights in the foyer, driveway, bedroom, necessary room (toilet) and kitchen were on. Today is just the driveway and foyer.
Share something your SO must not know. LOL

Where pretty much anything in the kitchen goes. If he puts dishes away I spend half my time trying to find whatever I need to cook the next time. Especially baking related things. They all go in one drawer, but apparently that's too complicated.

That cabinets and drawers have this handy feature where you push them, and they magically close shut.

@Torchwood: My life story. We've been in our home for years... seriously? You put that THERE?! And things are always put in the higher shelves where I can't reach. Probably because they are empty.

@Torchwood: ahh, same here! He'll empty the dishwasher and leave half the stuff on the counter because he "doesn't know where it goes." How about right next to the other things that look EXACTLY LIKE THEM??? Or in the drawer I've told you it belongs in at least six times?? I should be glad he gets half of the stuff more or less into the right places, but it's annoying that in order to do anything in the kitchen, I have to clean up after his attempt to clean up...
Laundry is another one. In DH's world, clean laundry belongs in a basket until I'm around to "help" with the folding and putting away. Because he might fold something wrong, and anyway the three minutes saved by having us both do it are super important to his day or something.
He is good at turning off lights, though. Sometimes too good.

@Dandelion: he'd like me to think that, but it ends up being a 75%-25% division of labor because I'm faster than he is. And he always starts with his own clothes, so why would he care if those get folded "wrong"? At least if he folded his own and just left me the rest, I'd only have to do 50%!!

How to pick produce when he goes shopping! He did the grocery shopping last week and came home with squishy cantaloupe and rotten corn... He also didn't shop at my preferred grocery store.
But, to be fair, I don't know how to turn off lights or rinse out empty milk containers.

What a thank you card is. My hubby is good about so many things. But thank yous is one thing he has never offered to help me with. He probably has no idea that I have written hundreds.

@bisous: My husband is the same. He knows what they are, but fundamentally against them. He thinks thanking someone over the phone or in person is the "correct" way to do it and thinks that notes are impersonal and antiquated. I disagree so I am left to write them all.

The light switch! My DH does the same thing. I'm convinced that it runs in his family. It seems to be a common trait among my inlaws.
For the hamper talk, I labeled DH's hamper with his name and keep it in the closet. When I do laundry, I load his stuff into mine. His hamper stays in the closet, so he has somewhere to put his clothes. It's weird, but it works.
Chorewars.com helped us keep the sink clean and dishwasher full. I'm still amazed that months later, this is what's sticking with him.

My DH must not know where the coat pegs are. He must think the appropriate place for coats is strewn across the dining tabke and that the fairies come and return said coats to the cupboard for fun! Lol.
@TemperanceBrennan: Eek! I do that when I'm shopping and it drives DH spare! I feel silly squeezing the fruit and inspecting the veg!!

That you can recycle receipts and that they are not part of the structural integrity of the kitchen counter. For the love of god.
Granted, I don't know how to put all of my stuff back in my purse so I don't lose it, so I think we're even.

My DH doesn't turn off lights either.
But he really doesn't know how to open the dishwasher. He thinks dishes should be left in the sink or on the counter. Now how to use the spoon rest next to the coffee pot. Instead the spoon to stir his creamer has to go on the counter.

The only time my DH turns off the lights is if I'm in the room lol... I have to yell at him to turn them back on!

@meganmp: Bahahaha..... The structural integrity of the kitchen counter. My DH thinks used napkins are necessary for the kitchen as well!!
