My parents had their friends from California come stay with them for the Holiday weekend. I was there twice (on Thanksgiving and the day after) and both times their male friend was wearing matching Uggs with his wife!!
Yay or nay?

I was under the impression that Uggs were originally designed as men's shoes for surfers to keep warm. The matching part though ... eh, a little weird.

Nay! I do not like a man in Uggs. And though I still love him I lost a little respect for Tom Brady when he became a spokesmodel for them.

We're up in MN and DH has a pair of black leather ones (they're manly-ish, promise!). He'll wear 'em in the winter (NOT with his pants tucked in...*shudder*) and you'd never even know they're Uggs. He loves 'em as they're easy on/off and they look kinda like biker boots.

I guess maybe cuz I'm a Californian, I don't have a problem with them? I only ever saw Uggs on guys first when I learned of them (in H.S. Club Swimming). I think @aprk: is right about the surfers origin. But NEVER tucked into jeans like girls do on men!

They were originally created for men that surf, I believe. I personally don't like uggs on men.

@ms.janedoe: Ahhh ok. I was picturing men wearing them over skinny jeans! I can see where they'd look fine worn under pants like regular boots.

@lawbee11: Haahahha, dear gawd no. If that were the case I'd walk 10' in front of him and pretend I didn't know him!
His are kind of similar to this (but TOTALLY didn't spend that much on 'em, he was doing a job at Zappos so they were super cheap!): http://www.uggaustralia.com/mens-rockville-II-black-motorcycle-inspired-boots/3040,default,pd.html?dwvar_3040_color=BLK&start=5&cgid=men-boots

@ms.janedoe: those are awesome .... to me they don't count as uggs!
I am talking about the sheepskin ones with fur on the inside. He didn't tuck his jeans into them though, thank god.

Nay! At least not the ones like I see girls wearing.

Never heard of men wearing them in what I know "uggs" to be...my initial reaction is NAY!

DH would never wear them but I wouldn't have a problem with them.

My dad wears his all the time! They're comfy but ugly. I'll even admit that mine are ugly, too. I only wear them on very cold days, though

I love Uggs! I can't imagine that many guys would be able to pull them off, but if they look good then I'm all for it. There was this one giant, very masculine football player who I went to college with that wore them and I could do nothing but respect it.

DH wears them (we're in CA) but it's not a matching thing and his are literally 10 years old from when he was a swimmer in HS and had practice early morning. He loves them on cold days.
i, on the other hand, wear mine ALL THE TIME. like right now. even though my feet are sweating at work.

Major nay. I am sure most guys who wear them these days do not surf!
