Help me brainstorm middle names that go with the first name Ruby! Our current contender is "Anne". Ann is a family name but I find the 'e' on the end more palatable.
We like names like Grace, Anna, Ella, etc. But cannot use those for one reason or another. 4-6 characters preferable, since all of our first names and our last name are shorter like that.
Also, what about James for a middle name? It is a family name. Is that cute and tomboy-ish, or just strange?

I love James and Kate! It's not short, but I love Ruby Catherine/Kathryn, Ruby Mae, and Ruby Lynn as well.

It's so funny you mentioned James...for whatever reason, before I even read your post, James was my thought for the perfect middle name for Ruby. I vote for that!

Before I opened the post, the first name that came to mind was Ann!

I love Ruby James, but Ruby Jane is what first came to mind if you feel like going a little girlier 
I also went through a bazillion names to help curb baby fever, and I didn't like most of them by the time I was preg! DS was actually another name for about 12 hours before we realized it didn't suit him as picked another one from our list, which if course is now perfect

Ruby is on my list as well
There's an actress named Ruby Rose, and Rose was my grandmas name, so that keeps popping into my head. I also really like alliteration.
Also love Ruby James and Ruby Jane!
