As a new mom, and somebody who hasn't really been around anybody with babies before, I mean, for long enough periods of time to know what they use on a daily basis, I am a little nervous and weary about our registry.
Do you guys mind looking at it and helping me figure out what is on there that isn't actually necessary and what is missing? I would really appreciate it!

This is small, but I recommend one of the mirrors that goes over the head rest instead of the suction cup one. We tried one of those and it constantly fell off.

Not sure if you're planning to breastfeed or FF, but if you are planning to BF, maybe register for some breast pads, lanolin cream, breastmilk storage bags ... Also, a couple different brands of bottles that youc an try out. I'd wait until LO is here to commit to a full supply of bottles, if you need a lot, but it'd be good to have some on hand to try out.
The Nose Frida is amazing at cleaning out their little nostrils. Also, I'm totally in love with Aden + Anais swaddle blankets. We don't even use any other type of receiving blanket because we love the A+A ones so much.

@Mrs Hedgehog: i didn't find the snuggle nest very practical at all. we ended up returning ours. also, i don't think doctors recommend using walkers these days, maybe register for an exersaucer instead?

@Mrs Hedgehog: the snot never actually gets anywhere near your mouth. It is so effective and strangely addicting, haha! I actually like to buy up the BF related products from registries as gifts when I attend a shower. It's practical and a change from all the clothes people like to buy!

I don't know about anyone else, but I have about 3 different bottle cooler bags with ice packs that were freebies from the hospital - so I wouldn't bother registering for that.
I would also suggest based on my favorites:
gerber prefold cloth diapers 3 ply (for burp rags and clean up)
Winkle
drying rack (we have the oxo one, but the boon one is also popular) if you plan to hand wash ever

Will you buy wipes from Costco? If so, the big pack of Huggies Natural care wipes already includes a travel wipes case and a countertop one.
Also, if you're going to buy a Medela pump, it includes a cooler bag with an ice pack.

I would add:
-towels
-diapers (if you aren't doing cloth, it let's people know what brand you prefer)
-wipes (same)
-drying rack (We ran everything through the dishwasher but still used the racks all the time)
-A+A blankets (life saver! I had sticker shock and wouldn't buy them for the longest time. I found them at a consignment store and fell in love. Totally worth the money!)
-baby monitor
-boppy covers
Also, you can find a Bumbo in brand new condition at consignment stores or even online. If there's something else you'd rather have a guest buy, you might want to buy it used for yourself. Just something to think about.

Oh yes, like @sweet t said, I'd probably take the Bumbo off the list. There's always tons on CL and that's one thing that can be wiped down/sanitized really well since its all one piece. In my area, they go for between $20-25 with the tray and since babies grow out of them so fast, they are in great condition.

@Mrs Hedgehog: I love consignment stores! I found some great deals when I was pregnant with DS and even once I had him. There's a great store in my hometown. I found two A+A swaddle blankets for $3 each. I also found a PUJ tub there. Have you tried Once Upon a Child? I'm pretty sure there's one close to you.

When we went to the one by us I was lamed out. It was pretty much just clothes and stuff for older kids. I am keeping my eyes open for more though! I actually cant think of anything aside from our shelves we bought new because of consignment! It is all amazing quality stuff too.

Def hooded towels and I would probably do the sunshades for the windows too. I would also seriously consider registering for a white noise machine, we have the sleep sheep. She still uses it at a year old.

I liked our Fisher Price booster/high chair-seat, but it was all hard plastic. I think it was a bit cheaper, too. The vinyl might be hard(er) to clean. Simpler is better in high chair design.

I'd skip the standalone wipes case and register for a skip
hop diaper changing kit that includes a wipe case, changing pad and diaper holder all in one. Also, maybe add some board books and toys (like Manhattan Toys or Melissa and Doug). We got some books even though we didn't register for them, but now I find myself buying more.

Second the white noise machine. We have the graco sweet slumber. I'd recommend more washcloths - we use them to dry off lo's bum after wiping it (he's prone to irritation) but they're so small and scattered around the house that we lose track of them constantly. Somebody recommended bibs, I didn't notice if you added them but we got so many friggin bibs as standalone gifts/parts of outfit sets etc that we have a drawer overflowing with them and wish we hadn't registered for any (although the ones we registered for will probably be more useful than the gazillion cutesy ones we got). Do you have a stroller or car seat on there? Also recommend a couple different kinds of diaper ointment. My friend swears triple paste is better than butt paste, we never used butt paste so I can't compare. But they can get resistant to certain ones so it helps to rotate them out. Also - saline nose spray, pediacare, medicated chest rub ( we got a natural eucalyptus kind). Shampoo/body wash, lotion.
Waterproof mattress pad yes because in the middle of the night it's so much easier to just rip the pad off than wipe down a mattress.
Diaper pail? We were putting diapers in the regular trash but unless you want to take out trash every day the house started to smell funky. Breastfed baby poo doesn't stink but it does have a distinct odor IMO. We have the Diaper Dekor and love it.
Sorry if this stuff is on there already and I missed it. You found some cool stuff though, I want to steal some ideas!
Oh - breast pump? Even if you're buying your own electric/getting it thru insurance, a manual one like the medela symphony is nice to have on hand.

Oh and I much prefer the miracle blanket to the halo sleep sack swaddle. It's a little more complicated but LO is a Houdini and super duper fidgety and the miracle blanket is the only swaddle he can't bust out of. I like the halo but only use it as backup when the miracle blankets in the wash.

And this is controversial but I prefer the My Brest Friend to the Boppy. The boppy slips around, LO falls into the crack, it makes breastfeeding a two-handed job and kills my back. The my Brest friend is more firm, straps to you, has back support, is a former ledge to prop LO on so I can use my hand rather than supporting his head the whole time. I do have both though because the boppy is quicker -- just grab and use -- in a pinch.

Oh and I'll vouch for another Boppy alternative, the Gia. It's taller so you don't have to hunch, and firmer so LO doesn't roll down as easily. But still super easy to use.

I didn't see these on there but I luuuurve the medela quick steam bags. And I have a mobiglo, which is a nightlight that detaches from it stand. When it's charging it gives off enough light to nurse by and if he has a challenging diaper I take for off the stand and it automatically lights up.
Not sure what your thoughts are on pacifiers but the Wubbanub has been a lifesaver lately.
